Here's an article regarding the Phins future plans with Ferguson. It is from Pro-Football Weekly so take the information for what you think its worth.

Dolphins NT Jason Ferguson recently said it's a toss-up as to whether he plays next season. He'll become an unrestricted free agent in March, and the 35-year-old is still recovering from a torn quadriceps. Head coach Tony Sparano seemed to indicate the team was moving on from Ferguson at a press conference for the Senior Bowl Jan. 28, and he discussed the difficulty of finding quality nose tackles at the pro level. "They really are (hard to find), specifically the good ones and the ones that are built to last. ... That being said, for us, we have (NT) Paul Soliai, who has been a good player for us this year. He's come along. He's a young player that's done some good things there for us right now on our team. Of course, Jason Ferguson was a guy that was with us. We'll see where we go and what kind of need (we have)."

I really see us preparing for the 2010 season as if Ferguson won't be with us anymore. Not only is he getting up there in age but Ferguson himself stated that it's 50/50 his injury will properly heal before preseason. I really hope we can sign a quality FA NT this offseason, and if not hopefully we can draft Cody in 2nd round. I also could also see us drafting Williams from Tennessee with the #12 pick if McClain is off the board. I think we will see Williams stock sky rocket after this weekends senior bowl and next months combine workouts.

We all focus on LB because these guys are the big playmakers but you won't find a great ILB that doesn't have a really good set of DT's or a great NT. This is clearly our #1 need because without it the whole D falls apart. I hope they solve this in FA an dthen go draft for LB and secondary.

I hope fergie comes back but if he doesnt, Ill be happy to see him retire a dolphin. Hes a good player and a good leader and to be the nose tackle of a Bill Parcells 3-4 system at age 35 says something about that guy.

He is rapidly climbing the charts at the Senior Bowl. If he is there in the second, he may be the answer. 6-3, 330 moves well, very athletic. Glad Nolan and crew are getting a close up look at him.

Our coaching staff is coaching the South team. Thomas is on the North team. But they do stay for the North practices, it's just they're not as close to the action. They are watching from afar like the other 31 teams.

By the way, the weakest area on the 4 lines for both teams is the South's offensive line. And the strongest area of the 4 is the North team's defensive line.

Look for the North defensive line to totally dominate the South's offensive line in the game. It may get ugly there. Tebow and the south QB's are going to get killed.

Yea Thomas is a beast with very good size..

Mike Mayock says there is no way he gets out of the 3rd..

That would awesome to have a guy like that in middle..I really wonder how they would hold up..all he would have to do is lean really...But I doubt his heart could take it..lol

I would dread to see the amount of X's in his uniform

Would he even need to wear pads? Would it really matter if he did? If he ever fell on someone you would have to bring out the stretcher. Plus he probably wouldn't be able to get up. I'll bet Manning could get his team back up to the line after a play and ready to go before he even got back off the turf.

Bring in Vince Wilfork ....kill two birds with one stone (upgrade the Fins and hurt the Pats)....paybacks for them taking Welker from us.
