According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Dolphins are expected to announce their new head coach on Friday.

Joe Philbin and Todd Bowles sat down with the team's brass on Wednesday, with Mike McCoy wrapping up the second round of interviews on Thursday. The Dolphins refuted a report that there's a leader in the clubhouse, though we suspect McCoy is still the man to beat for the "next Don Shula," as owner Stephen Ross put it.

looks like tomorrow is the day.. and seems like it'll be McCoy.

Yea it does seem like McCoy...

Oh well, I've learned to accept that our once proud franchise is gonna be in the dump for a while...

when and if Ireland comes to the podium, i would like it if someone asked him how much do we need to give up in picks to get up to #2 for RGIII?

Probably. I can't see this debacle slipping passed another weekend. We only have 3 ugly, flea ridden chihuahuas left limping around this dog show. Time to end this thing.

I will be happy because the search will be over, but at the same time I would rather the hc be philbin

Time to get it done and start nabbing assistant coaches before they're gone...

I'm curious if all the people that are crushing these finalists are doing it because they just want to kill the dolphins, or do you actually have reasons? The guys have all been, or requested to be, interviewed by multiple teams.

If everyone else interviewed McCoy and the Dolphins didn't you would see daily threads about how the idiots in the front office screwed up by not talking to him

One thing I'm confused about; from the Herald: "But there were indications Thursday that it remained a tight race between the two offensive coordinators, with Bowles a fallback option if Ross cannot decide between Philbin and McCoy."

So, Philbin and McCoy are the front runners, but if he can't make up his mind between the top two, he'll go for the one he likes the least?

Thats Ross/Ireland logic. I'll be so pissed if they make Bowles the coach.

McCoy > Philbin. But that aint saying much. I am hoping this next guy proves everyone wrong. But in the end, it almost doesnt matter who is coach. We need to get a great QB to go with the coach, or the coach will fail regardless.
