I don't know if McCoy would turn out to be a good coach or a terrible one, but in all fairness Tebow was his QB and he got about as much out of him as possible given the circumstances

His offense sucked before Tebow.

At this point I will be happy with either McCoy or Philbin. Either will likely do a good job... but this is the first time as a dolphins fan I do not have enthusiasm for the new hire. This lack of excitement has absolutely nothing to do with the coach, but rather the fact that there are other serious issues with the way Ross and Ireland do things that do not project a winning formula.

The way I'm looking at it.
Philbin more than likely would bring along a better staff the McCoy.
Philbin would also bring the westcoast Offense with him, which could mean Flynn could be here next season
McCoy is a big ? No one really knows what he would bring to the table. Imo he didn't do enough to warrant a HC job.
Peoples main problem is he doesn't call plays, but he was very hands on with the Packers Offense since 2007.
He also did the game planning for the Packers. I hope Ross makes the best choice, imo it has to be Philbin.

well I am anticipating that the Dolphins will have a new coach by the time I wake up or within a couple hours. I will be up by 130 EST time/ I dont really want Mccoy, but I want to get this nonsense over and done with so we can start our off-season and start planning for 2012!!!
