If unable to land an established starter and an agreement can be reached with Frerotte on a restructured contract, a source said the Dolphins may pursue Arizona quarterback Josh McCown.

Under that scenario, the 26-year-old McCown would compete with Frerotte for a starting spot.

True...but at least he's healthy...
 
I wouldnt be opposed to Mccown because he is young he is healthy and he is playing for Arizona. What QB is ever successfull in Arizona?

Arizona had a developing QB that could get the job done and screwed his development up by signing Kurt Warner, very similar to what has happened with Ramsey. I liked Mccown alot in that drAFT AND WAS HOPING WE WOULD DRAFT HIM.

Yeah! Looks like we'll finally get a QB that doesn't suck.
 
the ONLY reason Green started Warner was to put fans in the seats. How else do you explain him starting Warner when McCown was obviously the better QB. It's a business first and foremost.

Depends on who the backup has in front of him. Some guys have to wait thier turn ala Steve Young, Trent green and Matt Hasselback.

I do see that every QB is gonna be rumor to be coming here.....all I know is that Nick will do everything he can to upgrade the QB position and he's not gonna do a Wanny and wait 4 years to find out that he needs a new QB.

I'd be pretty disappointed with McCown with all the other QBs who are available this offseason. I'd much rather have Aaron Brooks for example. At least he's done some great things in the league. McCown's done nothing and hasn't yet proven he's an NFL QB.
