The Dolphins really want to find someone who can take over return duties from Landry.

Jarvis Landry was a Pro Bowl receiver last year, but still was the team’s No. 1 punt returner.

Some said that workload isn’t sustainable. Perhaps the Dolphins agree.

On Thursday, they added a player who might lighten Landry’s special-teams load.

A.J. Cruz, an Arena Football League wide receiver, signed with the team Thursday, according to his representatives.

Cruz, just 5-foot-9 and 195 pounds, isn’t your typical prospect. He played defensive back at Brown and wasn’t drafted out of college. Cruz spent two years in the AFL, most recently with the Arizona Rattlers. He did go to camp with the Chicago Bears in 2015, but was among the last cut.

Hey if he can take over return duties from Landry and be as productive, I'm good with it!
 
They signed that one returner who played for the Eagles in preseason and some were hyping him here. I don't even know if the dude played.
 
We really need to get Landry off return duties and if either of these guys can do that I'm all for it.
