Edit: I am a complete idiot. They are one game out. I blame Yahoo Sports for this error. Their tracker completely left out the AFC West.

In related news: I drank a lot today and texted trash talk to all of my friends that were Bills fans. I feel no remorse at creating this thread completely sloshed after a Dolphins victory. :brewskis:

ALL THIS SAID, we have a lot to be happy about and are right in the thick of it with a good schedule left. In Gase we trust.

Far too early to say that this 3-4 team should be a playoff hopeful, but, I will say this:

The last two games, this team has made bonehead mistake after bonehead mistake, committed penalty after penalty, and still looked like a quality football team that can hang with anybody out there. If that same team continues to show up, and maybe even starts to cut back on the dumb penalties and dumb mistakes, then we can at least have a season to enjoy instead of another hair-tearing disaster.

How do you figure with Denver, KC, Oakland and Buffalo ahead of Miami.

This is how:

I doubt Miami wins all of them, but each of the remaining games could be up for grabs. Even the final game in New England if the Patriots are resting starters.

The NFL is really bad this year, it's a league filled with terrible teams. No reason to think we shouldn't make a hard push for a spot.

Seriously amigo. Even the teams that are beasts this season have serious, serious flaws.

This next Jets game is classic Dolphins letdown territory. Dolphins traditionally stink after bye weeks as well. Gase should be telling his team that anything short of a double digit victory is a failure. I don't trust this team in close games yet.

I like our progress the last two weeks. If Gase can get have these guys ready out of the bye week and get the W against a divisional opponent then I think we are seeing legitimate growth out of this team. What are we going to do to adjust to defenses completely game planning to shut down Ajayi? Will we be ready to execute those plays? Will Tannehill come through for us like today?

We still have a lot of questions out there but I believe we are heading in the right direction. Right now it is just about building consistency and we just had our offensive line and running back show up big in consecutive weeks so that is a start!

Rest up boys! We are going to **** up the Jets!

The second half of the schedule is markedly easier than the first half.
