Maybe 2 or 3 years ago this would have been a good move.

Maxwell wasn't as bad as people think. No doubt he's overpaid, but building a team is about acquiring talent, not cap space. I don't recall any free agent CB's this offseason that were significantly cheaper and better that Miami could have signed.

Still hate the original trade that brought Maxwell here in the first place.

Not surprised this supposed trade didn't work either. Sherman would have probably killed the deal himself coming to a defense like ours.
