A largely forgettable class of potential picks in the upcoming supplemental draft includes a largely forgotten tailback from SMU.
Traylon Shead, who generated a mere 197 yards in four games last season, has obtained eligibility for the supplemental draft. His agent, Louis Bing, tells PFT that nine teams were represented at Shead’s July 2 Pro Day workout.
According to Bing, the Cowboys, Texans, Packers, Colts, Lions, Giants, Seahawks, Dolphins, and Bears attended the session, where Shead measured six-foot-two-inches and 240 pounds.

Shead was tabbed to be the heir apparent for Zach Line, now a member of the Minnesota Vikings, but it did not work out that way. In fact, Shead played in four games, running for 197 yards on 51 carries with three touchdowns and catching six passes for another 26 yards.

SMU's Traylon Shead suffered what looked to be a knee injury during a careless tackle along the sideline against Texas Tech. His knee bent beneath his body as Red Raiders defender Sam Eguavoen dragged him down by the collar of his jersey. He was very clearly in pain after the play, writhing on the turf as trainers surrounded him.

Isn't that a mock draft?

NFL's supplemental draft set for Thursday
NFL general managers will have a brief break from their vacations Thursday when they have a chance to participate in the supplemental draft, John Clayton of ESPN reports.

The four-player draft will be held at 1 p.m., but there is no guarantee any of the players will be drafted. If they aren't, they become undrafted free agents and can sign with any team.

New Mexico wide receiver-running back Chase Clayton, North Carolina linebacker Darius Lipford, Virginia Lynchburg defensive tackle Lakendrick Ross and SMU running back Traylon Shead are the four players available.

Sorry, I saw a tweet and thought it was real, did not notice "mock" at the top.

I was very confused when it popped up on the forums twitter that we had drafted him while others were talking about what could happen within like 2 tweets of it on my feed lol

Draft is today at 1:00PM. I have a hard time seeing the Dolphins using a pick on anybody. If Traylon Shead goes undrafted, I could see them signing him as an UDFA.

The 2015 draft is so loaded with backs that i think Miami just rolls with Moreno, Miller and Thomas this season and then replace two of the three next season. Odds are if you don't draft Shead today you can sign him as an udfa or steal him off a team's practice squad in a September.

trade a late rounder for theo reddick before detroit figures out they got a back that can play...
