Dolphin's B Marshall and OC Daboll help the Jets back on the Playoffs road.

I dont think reggie bush is feature back material, that being said though, I don't think any feature back runs solely up the middle. All we do is run reggie up the middle. He has bounced it outside a time or two this season for sizeable gains. I think he has one or two swing passes as well.

again, we DID throw to bmarsh in the redzone on 3 first half possessions. I still DO NOT remember throwing to him exclusively 3 downs in a row. I am quite positive this didn't happen. We throw to Marshall on all three 3rd downs from 3rd and short to the goal, . I think it's smart however to throw to marshall in the endzone as I don't think we have a better threat to score with. DT has proved nothing, limited use or not. How many touchdown catches does Marshall have any how many has he dropped? I think it is something like a 1 to 7 ratio. So that gives us a 15% chance to score throwing to Marshall. and we simply refuse to use reggie outside the tackles and hartline and bess don't instill fear into my 4 year old daughter.

i realize you think we are feeding bmarsh's ego... i think we are attempting to utilize a playmaker properly. I don't give a rip what marshall said before the game. the first time revis had a great defensive play. the second was the debacle that turned pick six. And this would be our fault for giving in to Marshall and trying to win a game passing against a team with a good pass defense. Without our gameplan, Revis has another quiet game. the third was a ball that was a bit behind marshall, but still should have been caught.

lastly, I vehemently disagree on DT doing well this season. I like him and all, and when he's on the field he's impressed at times. than, theres the games that he misses. for a guy who wasn't hurt much in college it seems if somebody farts sideways by him, his hammy acts up and hes out a game. I think he has been average at best, to say otherwise is stretching the truth in all honesty. he missed 2 out of 5 games. has broken 100 yards rushing I believe once, and has no rushing td's.
sorry bud, I just don't see where he's doing fairly well, unless by fairly well, you mean he has played in 60% of the games this year. D Thomas is averaging 4.4 yard per carry on a limited amount of carries. What would you consider good?

ggg

how many touchdown catches do any of our ******* receivers have? whats the point of arguing? are you suggesting we park marshall on the bench cuz he drops a lot of balls and roll with hartline, bess and clyde ****ing gates?

4.4 yards per carry is fine, if I can translate it to a week to week basis... playing in 60% of the games is acceptable to you? we traded up to get this dude, and he can't stay on the field. has broken 100 yards rushing once. you preach that the jets can be run on handily, which i would agree with but than DT gets 47 yards on 15 carries?

thank you for clarifying the 3rd down scenario with the bmarsh throws. Being as it is, I would have to agree that they need to throw his way at least once when in that close. like I said, one was a great batted ball by revis, the other was just a ****ed up play, and the 3rd marshall should have caught.

if we have a 15% chance of scoring a td with brandon marshall and DT has zero rushing td's, than i guess by your formula we have a 0% chance of scoring a td with DT rushing the ball no?

at any rate, I don't think they throw to marshall to feed his ego, I believe they throw to him because he is their best option. Furthermore, I don't think this loss to the jets did anything to get the ball rolling towards the playoffs for the jets. they have plenty of work to do.

Yes, really i would have traded him last week and he would not have played in the Jets game. And I'm sure that without him we would have a better chance of winning. Dennis Rodman could at least back up being crazy by playing well. No Marshall on the team would mean that our QB would make reads to see who was open instead of just looking to throw to Marshall first. We would run more.

He has had injuries as had a lot of Dolphins but you cannot argue that he is running for 4.4 yards per carry in the 3 games he was able to play in. He has very very few runs inside the 5 yard line. Oddly, he has ran us down to the 1-3 yard line and then we attempt to pass. I think we are last in the NFL in trying to pass in the redzone, so why do you think it works? Just try running Thomas or Hillard or Slaton. I remember only one time that we really tried to run the ball in a couple of games ago and we did on our last try.

Thomas is running for 3 yards per carry in the redsone. I would give him a 35% chance of making the next 3 yards and scoring, and I would give us a 70% chance if we used all four downs to score a touchdown.

We throw entirely to much in the redzone. Especially when are 6'4 WR isnt playing well at all.

We have a exciting rookie RB. Pound the ****ing ball

I could handle trading brandon marshall to somebody for decent compensation. I disagree that it would make matt moore, or henne or any other qb on the roster better though. We just don't have guys who have vision. I could be wrong but I think when that RB was wide open in the flat the throw went to someone other than marshall. point being simply that our qb's seem to have in their head who they are throwing to before the get the snap.

I would also point out that he is running for 4.4 ypc on the season but he certainly was not close to that clip against the jets who have shown this year that they can be run on. If we threw to brandon marshall on the three 3rd downs in the redzone, than we must have tried to run it on 1st and 2nd in all 3 instances...
I think first order of business should be something off tackle, especially if reggie is in the game. he showed against NE, that he only needs an inch of space for his speed to get him to the pylon. we haven't given him the chance since week one to do so.
DT.. I'm sure could get 3 yards as well, but I'd still rather see a counter or a pitch to get some one on one situations. Our Oline, and our Dline for that matter, seems to me the last three weeks or so, just stands up at the POA and gets stonewalled. no push from the Oline, and no penetration from the Dline...

with any other O line I'd get behind your 70% chance of DT up the gut, with ours... I MIGHT give him a 50% chance. as usually he is met in the backfield by a defender.
