Dolphins being considered for prime time

The Dolphins turnaround from last year's 1-15 to 5-4 has earned them an excellent chance to be considered for prime time on NBC's Sunday Night Football flex-scheduling, according to NFL director of corporate communications Dan Masonson.

NBC provides input to the league before NFL decides on the game. The NFL announces flex-scheduling every week. Masonson said the best chance for the Dolphins to be bumped to prime time would be the season finale against the Jets at The Meadowlands.

First off, I just don't wanna play @ New Jersey at 8 p.m. on a cold december night in a hostile environment . . . that place is gonna be rocking. I rather play that game at 1.

However, that is a very interesting storyline . . . especially if for the division crown, Pennington returns . . . Favre trying to make the playoffs . . . Jets and Dolphins . . . I mean that would be hard to pass up. Throw in the fact that Miami doesn't have no primetime games . . . it would be ideal . . . under the right circumstances.

Dallas and Philly also plays that week . . . and that is the only game that could trump ours . . . because networks love Dallas . . . but they have 5 PT games already, so I don't think they are eligible.

I know people want us in primetime . . . but this is not the game for it.

We are so exciting that we MIGHT be considered for the last game of the year.

They can go **** themselves.

It's 4th and 6...4 ticks left on the clock Miami trails by 3...

Pennington drops back, fakes the handoff to Brown, Is ALMOST hit and some how manages to get away...looking deep....he had GINN!!!

Wide open to the 30....20...to the 10....TOUCHDOWN MIAMI!!!! The Dolphins have done the UNTHINKABLE and have gone worst to first and are AFC EAST CHAMPIONS...

ALLLLLLRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT MIAMI!!!!!! :)

Bah! I live in NJ and the only two national dates this year would be when we play the Jets. They're already on TV up here..

Same here man. It'll be my Christmas present and oh what a glorious one it would be if we could somehow go into New York and walk out with the Division.
