Dolphins Best Game Under Failbin: 37-0 vs Chargers (While he was not there)

November 2, 2014: 37-0 vs Chargers

Was thinking about it today and the best game this team has played in the Failbin era came while he wasn't there all week in preparation. I'm not sure what to make of it exactly, but that's gotta mean something.

Now I know it was a sensitive time and he missed that week because his father has passed. I dont mean to undermine the loss of anyone in any family.

I just think its a bit ironic that their best game was a game that he didn't even prepare them for.We completely dominated that game. Start to finish, in all 3 phases. This team has the talent to win.

I hate to keep bashing on the guy as the writing is on the wall, but hes just not cut out for a HC job. He's just not that dude.

Heh you know I keep forgetting he wasn't there. I always think of this game as the absolute high point of his time here and of course it was when he wasn't around.

I'll say it again. His not being there loosened the team up - they left athletic tape and Gatorade cups on the floor. They towel slapped each other in the nuts coming out of the showers. The dark cloud of anti-inspiration wasn't hovering over them all week. They played fast and loose and did everything Philbin tries to get them to do. The fact they did it when he wasn't around was their way of trying to tell Ross "cmon man, get this loser out of here.".. There is no way it was a "let's kick some ass for Joe since he's going through a tough time". No way. How do I know that? Ok, I don't. But given Joe hasn't exactly established any connections w his players why would anyone think otherwise?

This team plays like Philbin walks - w their sphincters cinched up so tight they have no agility.
