Dolphins biggest hole: Linebacker

Misi is better than the article gives home credit for. He is a, solid starter. He's the best linebacker we have which actually isn't a good situation for us. He is good and will never be better than what he is now so we need a better player lining up next to him in the Mike.

I do agree somewhat. Not a Misi fan but he has been an ok starter for us. Ellerbee and Wheeler are hot garabage.

Come on Dlockz I'm sure you don't think of all the 250+ linebackers in the NFL Wheeler and Ellerbee are in the bottom five?

hoping some draftee or UDFA becomes a ST god and then a LB upgrade

I agree with this assessment. Miami did a great job IMO improving the offensive line. In signing Brandon Albert, the team turned a big weakness into a strength. Jonathan Martin was clearly one of the worst starting left tackles in football and Albert is a Pro Bowl player. The draft brought Ju'Wuan James and Billy Turner who both should start. Kudos to Hickey for the moves on the offensive line.

But the other biggest weakness, the linebacking unit, received very little help. I like Jordan Tripp a lot, but I don't see him as an instant starter like some hope. Perhaps down the line. Koa Misi in the middle seems like the best move the team can make because Dannell Ellerbe seems better suited outside. Perhaps Dion Jordan is ultimately the answer at linebacker, although the coaching staff appears to view him only as a defensive end. Any way you slice it, this group is clearly below average -- maybe the only unit you can say that about on the Dolphins this year.

Sound like a Cane fan who still lives in the eighties...VT has owned the Canes over last 10 years. Miami is 18-13 overall to tech. Dating back to 2003 VT is 8 and 3 vs the canes.

Don't be surprised if Jordie Tripp comes good. He's a lot better than his draft position would indicate.

I can not believe we are putting Phillip Wheeler back on the field this year
