Dolphins buzz, WR talk

Criner is too slow for the WCO. Philben is looking for close to 4.5 or better. There are lots of potential WCO WRS in this draft. They can double down which is a good idea anywhere from 2 to 5th round. I think they will also draft a TE in there somewhere so dont think both WRs will be high picks.

The Key is what does Philbin think of Fasano. Philbin wants someone like Finley as the TE is major component of WCO. I think TE will be drafted with a seond or a third round pick if Fasano does not meet the criteria.

ARK has some WR's in the draft that were considered the best group in college last year, G. Childs, Adams, & J. Wright they are all studs I wouldn't mind seeing any of them around the 2nd or 3rd rounds!

I know I'm gonna get bashed for this but I wouldn't mind bringing in Braylon Edwards on a very cheap salary he can defentaly strech the field

My turn to get bashed. I hope we bring in T.O. I would like to try and give him a chance. The speed not be there anymore, but he does run routes damn well. And we all know he is big and physical. He did great things in his year in Buffalo and Cincinnati.

jeffery promised yesterday he is gonna maintain that 215 and it be his playing weight...i don't trust it...and the guy on tape runs lousy routes and is sluggish out of his breaks...yeah at 215 i'm sure he is more explosive but the guy is long and lanky kinda hard to see him getting into that 225 range and carrying it well which is where i think he's headed back to...and on tape he doesn't separate he outleaps guys for the ball...not a chance i'd take with a top 50 pick

I sit next to 2 guys at work (one went to SC) and all I hear about is how amazing Alshon is. Better than Blackmon they say. After his pro day yesterday, one of them asked me what Blackmon does better than Alshon. I said "play wide receiver." The other told guaranteed me that Alshon would be the best WR to come out of this class.

I am not a scout, but my thoughts on Alshon are very similar to yours. He gets zero separation and runs routes lazily. I just don't see the intense hype from some over this guy. As deep as this WR class is, I don't know why you would take the risk with him.

Fans often do not focus on why people fit the offense or defense, but guys covering the Dolphins in the media or even just media types should have known that the WCO does not focus on a #1 wr like Brandon Marshall, but rather looks at spreading the wealth. Zone blocking is another change in direction given what is needed on the offensive line. Slaton was resigned because he played best in the WCO, or spread. Many of the media types without analyzing the situation talked about Miami not having a #1 receiver again, talked about the qb situation without necessary information, and fueled the fire. I would excuse fans from not knowing particular aspects of what is needed on the roster, but media types should know better. Particularily those covering the Dolphins. The Dolphins are very much at fault in not communicating enough, especially to the fans, but maybe also to the media.

I like that idea as long as we still draft 2 wr's. He would at least impose somewhat of a threat to opposing defenses. Who was the receiver who ran one of the faster 40's this year? I heard we were interested in him, but I am unsure of his name.

I think we should bring in Chris Rainey from Florida and turn him into a WR like we did with Nat Moore. They say on his pro day he showed good hands and route running. And you know he can run like a scalded cat.Just sayin!!!

I would love to see Rainey in a phin uniform.

i like marvin mcnutt a whole lot and would be estatic if we drafted him.

i thought for the last year he would a real sleeper pic but not any more . the cats out of the bag.

yds dont get me all gigly as college defenses and spread offenses combine for a lot of real estate through the air, a lot of it is that product, but not all.

the one i pay attention to the most is td's. can the guy find the endzone? mcnutt is a guy who knows how to score, and that is what is missing in our wr's. marshall was a great yds guy, couldnt score. bess moves the chains, doesnt get in the endzone.

mcnutt gets a lot of td's cosistantly, not one super great scoring year and the rest only 2-3 td's. that is what we need, a wr who makes his home in the endzone.

i doubt he makes it to our pic in the second round.

I think Rainey ran in the 4.3s. I think he could be there in the 5th round and he is a great special teams returner and punt blocker. One of the best punt blockers Florida ever hand. He can move out to WR and he can be third down back. If you cant resign Bush next year when he becomes a FA he can do some of the same things Bush can do.
