### After Philip Wheeler allowed a touchdown pass in the final seconds of the Green Bay game and criticized coaches afterward, one Dolphins player predicted: “He’s done here.”
In his five games since, Wheeler has played 11, 14, 16, 21 and 12 snaps --- the least of any starter.
“I feel I should be playing more but maybe others don’t think so,” Wheeler said. “I don’t know the reason.”
Part of the reason is that the Dolphins are now often playing with only two linebackers, and they far prefer using Jelani Jenkins and Koa Misi, who both played every snap against Buffalo.
Because of the way former general manager Jeff Irelandstructured Wheeler's contract, the Dolphins would have a $4.2 million 2015 cap hit if they cut or trade Wheeler this offseason, compared with $4.4 million if they keep him.
### Cortland Finnegan said his ankle is feeling a lot better and he hopes to play Sunday. But he didn't practice Tuesday, at least in the two portions open to media, which isn't exactly encouraging... There was a lot of talk today at camp about the fact the Dolphins' longest touchdown play all season has been 21 yards.

Delmas allowed that touchdown,

regardless get him out of here.

Delmas allowed that touchdown,

Looks like Philip Wheeler #52..

With six seconds left, Rodgers saw Dolphins linebacker Philip Wheeler lined up against tight end Andrew Quarless.

It was a no-brainer. Rodgers, without hesitation, hit Quarless for the four-yard touchdown pass to give the Packers a 27-24 victory before 70,875 at Sun Life Stadium on Sunday.

Add me in the mix, Wheeler of people who thinks you should NOT be playing more.

How did Jeff Ireland sign him to that deal?

You can't be serious! Delmas has player pretty well at time and okay during others. Hell I think he's already made more plays than Chris Clemons entire time as a Miami Dolphin.

The sad part is it took the coaching staff two plus years and mouthing off to the media to realize getting this waterhead off the field was addition by subtraction.

Philbin just looooves guys who speak out to the media and criticize coaches. I'm sure he'll make wheeler the head of the leadership council.

WOW apologies I was certain it was Delmas I decided to not watch any highlight of that game because i was so pissed.

Makes a lot more sense.

I'm surprised teams haven't caught on to Ryan's deep ball issues and exploited it like the Ravens against Chad in the playoffs.

Well, I don't feel bad for Wheeler. Dude made about ten million dollars to be a below average starting NFL linebacker for 2 years here. Coaches stuck with him even though it was obvious he was a weak link out there on defense, and for their faith in him they got nothing but poor play and some potshots taken in their direction.

See yah, Wheels.

Then why even comment and blame Delmas if you had no idea? And so decisively to say it wasn't wheeler.

Regardless. I hope our young guys keep developing. Ridding ourselves of Wheeler/Ellerbe will be great

I just wish he hated players that suck as much as he hates players that mouth off to the press. Better late than never, I suppose. Jenkins has been a revelation.
