***UPDATED AFTER WEEK 12***

The DOLPHINS chances of obtaining a wildcard spot are very good if they take care of business, win at least 4 of their last 5 games, with must wins over JAX, NYY and BUFFALO. (Jacksonville=W, NE=L, BUFFALO=W, NYJ=W, INDI=W) PREDICED FINISH = 9-7

Playoff picture right now:

NE wins East
BAL wins North
INDY wins South
S.D. wins West.

That leaves these six teams competing vs. Miami for two wildcard spots:

Denver (7-4)
KC (7-4)
JAX (6-5)
NYJ (6-5) Have tiebreakers cause they've beaten us
CINN (6-5)
BUFFALO (5-6) Have tiebreaker cause they've beaten us
MIAMI (5-6)

Obviously, KC and DENVER are the front runners but neither team is playing well and both have tough schedules.

DENVER will beat out Miami for one spot by winning at least 3 or more of their last 5 games (Seattle=L, @San Diego=L, @Arizona=W, Cinci=W, and San Fran=W). PREDICTED FINISH = 10-6

KC will flop and lose 3 out of their last 5 games (@Cleveland=W, Baltimore=L, @San Diego=L, Oakland=W and Jacksonville=L), which would give Miami the head to head tiebreaker if they finish with the same record. PREDICTED FINISH = 9-7

JAX must not win more than 3 of their last 5 games with one of the losses being to the Dolphins (@Miami=L, Indi=L, @Tenn=W, NE=L, @KC=W) PREDICTED FINISH = 8-8

NYJ must not win more than 3 of their last 5 games with one of the losses being to the Dolphins (@Green Bay=L, Buffalo=L, @Minn=L, @Miami=L, Oakland=W) PREDICTED FINISH = 7-9

CINN must not win more than 3 of their last 5 games (Baltimore=L, Oakland=W, Indi=L, @Denver=L, Pitt=W) PREDICTED FINISH 8-8

BUFFALO must not win more than 3 of their last 5 (San Diego=L, @NYJ=W, Miami=L, Tenn=W, @Baltimore=L) PREDICTED FINISH = 7-9

At 9-7 the playoffs are still possible but we need a lot of help, at 10-6 they are practically guaranteed.

GO PHINS~!

The Jags won tonight which I was counting on for a loss. It's going to be even tougher now and it looks like the Jags will be a pretty tough opponent. I can't wait for that game on national TV now.

Yep, I have the Jags in there at 6-4. We have to beat them to get the tie-breaker, and then they can't win more than 3 out of their 5 other games.

Yeah I understand that but I'm just saying I wasn't expecting them to play like that at all the rest of this year. Our next 2 games are must wins for sure. I think we can do! GO FINS!

Why do people continue to post playoff threads? It aint happening!!!!

Then just stay out of the thread and don't post. No one is forcing you to read the optimisim man. Why do you want to tell people to not be excited and have hopes about their team?

By the way, your post doesn't really match your sig.

As much as I hope it will, I cant see it happening either.

Sure, we might finish 8-8 or there abouts, but i doubt we're play-off bound this season.

I live in hope though! GO FINS!!

That's what was said in an earlier thread. It was pushed back to 4:05 and the only other game at that time is Oakland vs. Houston. CBS only has one game that week but I imagine it would be that one nation wide (with the exception of the Houston and Oakland regions) with no early game on CBS. I hope that's how it shakes out.

Did you guys see the Jets shedule? Unless they blow it they're probably making it in the playoffs; they have games against the Raiders, Texans, Bills, Vikes, Packers.:tantrum:

don't underestimate the division game that Jacksonville has with the Texans. Didn't the texans just beat them a week ago. You throw out the record for division games, because they are usually hard fought games, that are close. It seems like that for the every division, and especially for the AFC East. The Raiders gave the Chiefs a tough game, and it was an interception from inside the Chiefs 20, that won the game at the last few seconds, where the Raiders were in position to try to win the game. The Jags seem to be a streaky team, so I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to the Vikings as well, and hopefully Bret Favre is back when the PAckers play the Jags.

Don't think they are really as good as their record. They had one nice win but they still have a lack luster running game, an average defense, and good ol' noodle arm Pennington under center. I'm not the least bit worried about the Jets. I'll be you they lose 2 of those games.

Once again, we need to WIN out to have a realistic chance. Key word "realistic"
