Dolphins can host AFC championship game @ The Rock

How you might ask? Well a lot has to happen, Fins need to finished the 5th seed with Chiefs being the 6th. If Fins and Chiefs win their playoffs games then they could meet for the AFC championship game in Miami. I realize this is an extreme long shot but this has been a special season for us.
 
Yeaaaah. I love that idea, but 5 vs 6 has never haopened before.
 
I think I have a better shot of winning the lottery than this scenario playing out lol.

I was just talking about this yesterday with my friends. This would be the year for it to happen. No clear powerhouse in the AFC or NFC. All teams in the playoffs are beatable.
 
Focus on the steelers for now.
 
Most years the 5 and 6 seed aren't as good as Miami and KC are this year so it's definitely possible.

It's a lot more likely than Tampa Bay making the playoffs this year. The Buccaneers need help from half the league, I think they also need Alabama to lose to Washington on Saturday night as well.
 
Everyone says it's never happened but the relative time period to compare against is short, because prior to the addition of the fourth division, Miami and KC would be battling for the 4th seed with one getting it. Having both the 5 and 6 as 11 win teams is likely pretty rare. Throw in that the 1 or 2 lost their QB and a perfect storm could be brewing to make it happen.
 
That would be a huge long shot. But i would be grinning ear to ear to finally see Miami in the afc championship. I believe when we add som more talent and fill these hole we will be competing every year.
