The more this guy opens his mouth the more confident I am that Ross made a bad decision bringing him to run the team. When we win, I think that maybe he has turned the corner, but again and again he shows me why we are in the morass that is our team. The guy has zero emotion on the sideline. Looking like a deer in the headlights before a tank mauls him over,
Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin also met with the media and remained confident the team -- and the offense -- will be better in 2014. “We certainly need to make changes, adjustments, tweaks, additions, deletions. That’s part of the process,” Philbin said. “I’m confident there will be (changes). But right now, there’s none to be addressed.”

The team must be better in 2014, says Joe Philbin, because for the last 2 games they stunk it up worse than a week old fish market dumpster.

Dude, whadda ya want the guy to say? "Please fire me and fire my hand picked OC"??? Come on man, that's what these guys do, they spew bullsh*t after bad losses. Show me one coach who does different. I'm not gonna argue with you about Philbin as a coach because I'm not sold either but he's not just gonna start throwing his people under the bus for a good sound byte
 
"Fans shouldn't expect any more than an average record while our inexperienced quarterback develops" isn't compatible with the ticket sales that are important to Joe Philbin's boss.
 
The players just couldn't deal with the positive press.

Once people were actually mentioning playoffs and Dolphins in the same sentence it's as if they tanked or choked.

Philbin seemed like he was not prepared for success.

He had the opportunity to not only make the playoffs but to get Rex fired and to cripple the jests for next season and he treated it just like any other game,

just like a preseason game that wasn't special in any way.
 
Head coach speak. It's the spin zone, there is no way he is going to call out players and coaches. All he will do is state we didn't make the plays, we didn't execute etc. Same as every head coach since 1900.
 
Don't beg to be fired but maybe act like your pissed and demand accountability from staff, self, and players. I don't think I would be able to sleep after scoring 7 total points in 8 qtrs of meaningful games. The guys a drone.
 
Misleading title to Walker's blog.
Where does it show the Dolphins "can't explain" what happened? He just lists stats and doesn't really connect them to anything that was said. You have an ambiguous quote from Wallace and the coach saying there will be changes on offense but he can't list them yet.
I realize it isn't easy to come up with a new blog every day but there has to be plenty of real stories to talk about

What is he gonna say?

"I got a second year QB who only had 19 college starts and I'm trying to turn him into Aaron Rodgers without letting him spend three years on the bench. I got garbage offensive linemen. I got no big tall seam threat TE. I got nobody who can run the ball or pick up a blitz worth a damn. My mentor, the guy who got me my start in coaching, the guy I hired to run my offense, doesn't believe in making anything easier for any of these guys."

He can't say that.
 
I only have one thing to say to Philbin... assuming he is the coach next year.... Think outside the F'n box!!!! Take a deep long look at your coaching staff, your players and the players available to you... What you did in 2012 and 2013 did not work... tear up the play book, get F'n creative and come back next year with some energy and emotion.. This is your team and if you do your job like it should be done, the players and the fans will get behind you..

If you dont have the capacity to think like Billichek, motivate like Walsh and control your players like Shula... then GTFO and save us all from the heartbreak of "believing" another year..

I can't stand the calm and pragmatic approach in the NFL, especially if the team has glaring issues. I'm usually careful in my personal everyday life decisions, so I can respect Philbin somewhat for not being fiery or hasty in his comments, but he needs to understand that fans want change, well-needed change, and sooner or later you have to put the magnifying glass down on your team and start looking at the big picture. Small tweaking doesn't always cure big problems.
 
The one indisputable fire should be ALL Quality Control coaches.

They need UNBIASED coaches doing quality control that have no ties AT ALL with Philbin or Sherman if they don't can Sherman.

Sherman will probably go though, I hope so at any rate. Tannehill needs a new OC and QB coach or he will never progress
