Cameron's deal is $4.5 this year and $9.5M next year with a $1M hit if moved in year 2. Stills is NFL lunch money. Here's where we are with those included.

2015- Around $12M under. Wheeler's $3M does not come off the books until June 1. Clay's $7M is included, as we still have the tag in place. Fields discount is not included and have seen nothing on that deal. Have to wonder if we are still considering cutting him and his $3.9M cap hit.

2016- Around $30M under with 34 players under contract. /wake, Grimes, and Cameron could add another $30M if moved, which is a distinct possibility. In VG shape.

2017- Around $100M under (based on a $160M cap)with only 13 players under contract including Grimes and Albert for $19.1M.

You can go to the OTC link to see which players are under contract by just clicking on the year.

We have $18.6 in dead money this year, which pays Suh for a year. IMO, it was a good move to cut dead weight and players not in our plans, take the hits now and move on.

thanks for the work southbeach.

Clay today/soon may open up more for us. Tannebaum may be resetting the market for clay if Buffalo is bluffing.

RT deal gets done at least after june 1

Agree on taking the hit on the dead money on all those players. The only disposed of player anybody could make an argument for keeping would have been Wallace for this season only, but overall if they are right that the move is addition by subtraction then absorbing that dead money in return for the cap savings and pick is a no-brainer. And while he only saves $5.5 mil this year by getting rid of him had we kept him and gotten rid of him next season it would have been a $4.4 mil dead money towards the 2016 cap.

Having OTC and Sportrak makes thing a whole lot easier. I've been posting/explaining the cap, June 1, and dead money for around 12 years. Back then, you really had to do some work to get info from NFLPA and many others, with many posters not caring much and thinking it was boring. How times have changed. :)

No idea what we will do with Clay, He and Cameron is very intriguing or, we have $7M to play with.

RT's deal is very easy to fit in starting in 2016, as you can see.

Now, with te decks cleared, as Dawg and Beard posted, we have to hit on some draft picks so we are not so dependent on FA. The coming deal for Tannehill, in addition to Suh, makes that very important.

Vernon and Shelby also free agents next year

Looking for movement from Fede this year to let Shelby go. Also Dion Jordan, add nauseum, is still a DE according to recent reports.

I think Vernon is gone. If he blows up this year due to the extra attention given to Suh and Wake, he will be overpaid by someone else on the market.

Raw Dog a standard bench player. Cheap.

Still, you care about it and it is important subject right now for years to come. :)

Still have to lock up Pouncey, Tannehill and Lamar Miller to long term agreements.

Not sure what the team wants to do with Pouncey. He has to show more than he has the last 2 years to be worth big money. IF he is looking for a huge deal now, I have to wait, and "maybe" even consider moving him, which I do not see happening.

I'm thinking that our interior OL going up vs Suh in camp is gonna make most games seem like a break. :)

Suh did say that he was looking forward to going up against "Mr. Pouncey" in camp.

No way. I think they Cut Wake and pay the much younger Vernon

Thanks SB! That is promising. If we phase out Albert next year or the year after and move our RT to LT then we could get a quality RT and have a good OL for a while. Then we could concentrate on replacing Wake as he ages and Vernon when his contract ends. Not bad shape long term financially, which surprises me.

Next year, FA will be as overpriced as this year if not more. Teams MUST spend to get to the salary cap floor and next year is the final on the 4 year cycle.

Great time to re-sign and extend our own IF they earn it. With over $100M in cap space in 2017, and only 13 players under contract, it's almost like choosing a new team.

For once, in recent history, it would be nice to be paying our own in place of so many FA's.

Miller will be cheap.

Pouncey should be big money.

Tannehill will be the bank breaker.

Pouncey might not be back, I just wouldn't rule the chance he walks out.
