Dolphins | Chatman working as No. 2 back in camp

Chatman was Michael Turner before Michael Turner. He had a ton of talent and was very successful as a #2 in San Diego. He really let his conditioning go and seemed to lose the fire for the game, hence he's bounced around the last few years. This camp his weight is way down and it looks like his speed is back. He could be a very solid #2.

I think Booker still get his touches even if Chatman is the official #2. They said they're using him in 2 back sets w/ Ronnie on occasion and I also see him in frequently on passing downs. Booker is likely a 6-8 touch/game kind of guy to bring a spark until Cam is sold on his durability. He's not the kind of guy you'll give 25 carries if Ronnie goes down imo. Not yet at least.

The difference between Chatman and Booker, at least right now, is that like Michael Turner, Chatman is more of a guy you can bring in for an entire possession, while Booker may be more situational at this point.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Cameron has been shuffling the depth chart around during all of these practices.

I can see us using Booker in more of a Reggie Bush style. Flanking him out and allowing him more catches than carries. It will allow him to use his speed more effectively in the open field and save his under-sized frame from alot of the wear and tear of grinding a game up the middle.

you know what , i am thinking that if our wrs dont step up i would not opose moving booker to wr and use Mauia as a jerome bettis type back and use chatman and cobbs as a dynamic duo and use this to heat up the compitiion at rb to make ronnie better.
chatman and cobbs in the backfield and use ronnie , te anderson , and hagan as wr/s te/s / fb . in other words conduct a official shake down to fire our guys up .
I know , I know bad idea .:kick:
