Dolphins claim CB Jalil Brown off waivers from Colts

Good thing is they aren't playing anyone resembling Tom Brady the next couple weeks.

Paging HCF for information...

Couldn't beat out Vaughn for our 4th CB spot in an area that behind Vontae and Toler(Who has missed 7 games due to injury) we are kinda weak at. Should tell you more than ya need to know lol. I think we already discussed this in chat but reiterating if it wasn't you haha.

rest carroll and grimes unless buffalo starts beating us.

Not to be a jerk, but have you ever played high level sports? Big time HS, college ball, pros?

It is almost impossible for guys to prepare with that mindset, then come in cold when your scrubs are getting killed.

I've seen it as a coach and player. I've been the guy in college sitting because of minor injury and had to come in cold. It is tough. Are you amped up or not? If you are you want to play.

It can work, but you cannot rely on it. You are better off playing them, or sitting them. Gray areas don't work with ultra competitive 200% effort guys. JMO

Jalil Brown doesn't sound like anything to get excited about. He flopped with both the Colts and Chiefs so far. Is in his 3rd season after being a 4th round pick of the Chiefs in 2011

Brown is strong for a CB (25 reps of 225) and he ran a 4.45 in the 40 at 6'1" 204 pounds.

quarterbacks are thrown into games without warning all the time. eh, not football but i placed 9th at h.s. state championship in wrestling and had an earlier tournament victory against the guy who ended up 2nd.

edit: now that you mention it, in little league baseball i threw a sidearm pitch that curved so much the guy fell down but it was called a strike. LOL. :chuckle: ruined my arm later though.

I think we can beat the bills and jets minus grimes and Carroll if need be. pressure is the key, we are facing 2 rookie QBs. pressure them and they will make mistakes

poaching the niners is one thing, and poaching the colts another.

I think scheme was a factor to how Davis looked. It seemed the plan was to up small chunks inside, no big plays, keep the game moving, and force NE to have to methodically move the ball. He did just that, kept his guy in front, made 7 tackles, and generally did alright. If you look who got burned for the touchdowns it wasn't Davis. I'm completely alright with that effort. He didn't pull a Wilson and give Edelman a high five on the way to 6.

The Bills can manufacture a passing game enough to win Sunday. They have some good WR's and Chandler can be a handful. Couple that with two good RB's and they can put pressure on Miami.

Don't let the Bills 5-9 record fool you. They already beat us and they are certainly better then a 5-9 team. They'll be looking to spoil our playoff hopes next Sunday. We better be ready for them.

time for Davis and Taylor to man up and play with the big boys

watching Davis with a target on his back last game was terrifying. Everyone in my section knew who Tom Brady was throwing at when Grimes got hurt. One drive, he gave up three catches which made that last drive all the more terrifying with him on the field. I'm hoping Taylor can see the field.

The best thing we have going for us is that Coyle can coach up defensive backs.

Not sure if it will mean something this week but by the Jets gam I am confident we will have some semblence of a secondary.
