Dolphins claimed DB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu off waivers from Browns, per source.

Ekpre-Olomu, 22, was taken in the seventh round of last year’s draft by the Browns. He is in the second year of his four-year, $2,337,300 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

Ekpre-Olomu was a star at Oregon before he sustained a torn ACL and a dislocated knee, which led to him spending his entire rookie season on the non-football injury list.

During his four-year career at Oregon, Ekpre-Olomu recorded 244 tackles, 6.5 sacks, nine interceptions, and eight forced fumbles.

Prime candidate for the "sports medicine" program.

I like the pickup here . . . hell why not.

I was hoping for this. He's was an excellent player pre injury. Let's hope he can regain some of that form. Worth a look.

Now we just have to get him lifting weights. I've heard that fixes everything.

No no its the shakes that are specifically designed for each player..

Really curious how healthy he is.

Low cost. No commitment. If he's recovered from his injury, it's all upside. I see no downside.

Just curious. Anyone know how to pronounce his name?

CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu headed for a re-examination of his knee by Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who recently cleared Ekpre-Olomu http://wp.me/p14QSB-a11g

I posted this in the other thread lets hope he was re cleared. Here is another good part it this works..

It’s Cleveland’s prerogative to have that concern, and to exercise their privilege to release the player from the non-football injury list. The question now becomes whether another team will claim on waivers a player with a low-end, minimum salary deal that covers the next three years

If hes ever at 100% again..hell if hes at 90% it's a helluva steal

Awesome! Was really hoping we would get him. Could be a steal if he regains form. Hell if anything can be better than our previous 4th CB's for sure.

Like the move, nice job low risk high reward.

one of the 25 best players in college football before the gruesome injury. pretty smart to see if he recovered adequately being that byron fugging maxwell is our #1 as of right now
