Dolphins claim former Pat DT Bruce Gaston

Can't wait to see what the "BB is such a cheater" peanut gallery have to say about this since according to them it's sooooooo unethical.

Very proud of the Fins brass today. :brewskis:

EDIT: Damnit, just saw he was only there 1 day. Bahhhhh. Got my hopes up.

Too late to change the game plan. That's the Dolphins for you. We can't even do intelligence gathering right.

I think you failed to see the irony in this one.

They want the player for the player not for any info about the Patriots.

Try again.

I'm disappointed he was only a one day wonder and of little use in terms of intelligence... so I've gotta believe he's a better option as they churn the bottom of the roster. Still and all with all the pats cuts and PS poaching potentials, it's telling that while belichump had no trouble cutting players to make room for Jones and Thiggy, the fact that we didn't do the same flipping would indicate our below-first tier players are stronger than theirs and deemed too indispensable to lose for the sake of negligible intelligence from substandard short termers from NE.

GLENDALE, Ariz. --

All Bruce Gaston wanted was an opportunity.

The Arizona Cardinals called with such an opportunity, and the 22-year-old rookie defensive tackle is making the most of his time in training camp thus far.

"Bruce Gaston did a heck of a job on our defensive line -- really showed up, blowing up some blockers and made a little name for himself in that scrimmage (Saturday)," said head coach Bruce Arians, who later told Bickley and Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM that Gaston "is a big, powerful guy. I mean when I saw a couple of offensive lineman come backwards, it's just like, 'Whoa, who's over there?' I thought it was (Darnell Dockett) or Calais (Campbell) or somebody, and it was (No.) 75. I said, 'Hmm, I like that.'"

Gaston, listed at 6-foot-2 and 310 pounds -- in other words, a big body in the middle of the defensive line -- had not heard of Arians' praise. When he did, he was appreciative.

So Maybe they want him as a player because next year, they might be in a cap crunched as Omar says. Maybe that's why they have so many Rookies this year.

Just a thought.

two years ago we got Yeatman from Pats to turn him into a T.

We picked up a young DT....again. BB is only pissed because he liked him too. Not about info.

Didn't Armando say four days with the Pats? Also long enough to see the defensive gameplan and be in the defensive line room.

If we liked him though, I'm surprised we didn't just claim him initially. We had priority over New England.

What could he have learned though in one day?

So much for Ross as depth in the secondary. We already figured out he is no good and the Pats figured out Gaston was no good in a day.?

He was probably given a playbook but they probably have to give them back when they're released. Photo copies?

We need info please. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Our time to download.

He really hasn't had much time. He was with Arizona during the preseason.

All playbooks are now securely stored on computer notebooks. There's no photo copies or even the ability to print, load or transfer the data.
