Tua time!
chase coffman sucks...just like martin rucker does as well...both products of the system at missouri
I was suprised that the Pats cut him he did a great job blocking in the preseason. The Pats drafted Lee Smith in the 5th round who was supposely one of the top blocking TEs in the draft, Yeatman was much better than him. Yeatman and Smith were both listed at 6-5 268 lbs, Yeatman looked bigger than Smith. Don't expect much in the passing game, but he's a good fit with the Dolphins power run game and has some upside.
Based on that video I can see where Yeatman can probably make massive improvement in his speed. I guarantee that with some work from a speed coach he will make strides (pun intended). Basically he has no knee lift whatsoever, that can be coached and when it is corrected he will probably take at least 2/10 off his 40 time.
Hey that's why I said at LEAST 2/10. I'm sure if he's a good athlete he can take even more time off, his horrible knee drive is killing his speed though. The positive is this guy can definitely get faster.

well, no offense intended. i just think you won't ever make him a big threat down the seam. serviceable enough maybe. even Joey Haynos had a couple of TD's here.
This assumes he wasn't already receiving coaching on how to run the 40. He probably was. It is what it is.
so this dude ran a 5.1 40??? is that what i'm to understand??? you gotta be ****tin me
Based on his technique either he was receiving no coaching or very poor coaching. Whether or not he received any coaching at all, I guarantee that with proper coaching he will drop his times.
you may be right about this. i don't know. but to me, it doesn't get more fundamental than running. if you're already lacking here, odds are you're not going to be very successful in football, unless you're absolutely excellent in another aspect. to me, he's nothing as a receiver at TE. if he gives us a couple of catches, nice, but he's a blocker. we may have better luck trying to make him an OT. his footwork might be better than his straight line running.
