Dolphins close in on signing their draftees

The Dolphins have been quietly confident for several days that their three remaining unsigned draft picks will be signed before the coming weekend is out. That's good because training camp opens Sunday with a 2 p.m. practice.
And Thursday went a looong way toward helping the deals get done.
Even as the team and the agents for Vontae Davis and Pat White were negotiating, the players picked both just ahead and just behind the Miami rookies in their respective rounds agreed to deals with other teams.
What does that mean to Miami and it's rookies?
Bingo!
Whatever final language needs to be hashed out, whatever final i needs to be dotted or t needs to be crossed will likely be done in the next couple of days and perhaps as early as Friday.

Its imperative for Davis and the team to get the deal done very soon. Disappointing to say the least if he and his agent can't reason with the FO on this one.

None of the players are considered "hold-outs" until they miss TC, which starts Sunday! Give these guys a break. One injury and their careers are OVER. They gotta get as much $$$$ as they can. If that means signing on Sunday morning, then so be it.

Never understood why so many fans side with management over the players.
