Dolphins | Closely Watching Wright

I might take a shot at this guy at the top of the third round. I would definately take him at the top of the fourth (assuming we "win" the weighted lottery for the top picks)

Anybody think some team might take a shot at him with a late second?

I don't know, I know we need so help at DT, but taking a backup college DT in the 3rd round may not be sound judgement...JMO...

4th or lower...in my opinion. We need as many day 1 picks as we can get for the next few years. But, I'll put my faith in NS...if he thinks that Wright is worth a 3rd then I won't be screaming. I just can't see him making a major impact this next season.

He was a sophomore back-up playing behind a senior first round draft pick and many were looking forward to seeing him as the full time starter now that his time had come.

I would love to see us get him...definately look at the wr and I believe there is a stud linebacker as well.

I don't understand the point of taking him now is wasting a pick in the next draft. It's not. It's projecting where you think this guy would be drafted next year and holding to a value propsition. For instance, if you project him as a 2nd rd pick next year, then using a 3rd on him this summer makes sense.

To me, the problem becomes salary cap becasue he would count against this season's rookie pool. But if we need help at DT - perhaps this is a way to effectively get it.

Consider this, what's more valuable: Using a 3rd on a guy who projects as a 2nd (pure hypothetical) and getting him now when you can mold and use him for a season? Or, waiting until next season and having to spend a 2nd on him and then he still has to get that year's worth of NFL experience?
