Dolphins coach ‘frustrated’ by DeVante Parker’s third season

A six-pack of Thursday Dolphins notes:

• Dolphins quarterbacks have an abysmal 60.8 passer rating when throwing to DeVante Parker, according to Pro Football Focus. That ranks 81st of 89 NFL receivers with at least 31 targets.

Over the past two weeks, four passes thrown to him have been intercepted.

And Dolphins offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen admitted Thursday that Parker’s third season has been “frustrating.”

Christensen didn’t rip Parker, instead attributing Parker’s seeming regression to injuries.

But here’s the thing with Parker: He seems unable to play at a high level if he’s not completely healthy. And he seldom is completely healthy.

Anybody know the passer rating when throwing to the other receivers?

I think he's more than proven to be a "bust" relative to his draft position and (OMG the long history under Ross of ) drafting INJURED college players is pure and absolute negligence!!! Our drafts are always like playing against the odds as if the village idiots we have running the place have some kind of secret code (presumably they found in a box of cracker jacks) whereby they can BLOW high picks based on nonsense.

Physical soundness (durability) is just about at the TOP of NFL legit players... Otherwise its like '' Oh yea he was a great athlete with awesome potential but he could never stay on the field" and thereby never contribute in a meaningful (substantial) way!

It's just pathetic and totally predictable for this garbage franchise...
 
let me guess, franchise is a joke, fire everyone, we suck at drafting.....did all get in all the whining? in all reality it has been a bad season for everyone, I don't even want to look at numbers as they wont be good

Didn’t really realize until I read this post that, yeah, has anyone improved from last year to this year? A single player?

I don’t think anyone has. I don’t know what Parker’s ceiling is anymore at this point but he’s someone with talent that the dolphins staff hasn’t been able to extract. It can’t be every single player on the roster not doing their job. The coaches need to be held just as accountable as DVP for his lack of a break out year.

Frustrating!
 
I'm not sure "overreacting "is possible when a team is this bad. I'm not sure we have 1 capable coach or person in mgmt that he above avg.

I hope we do a 180 in a few months where magically we start acting like a quality nfl team but I'm not counting on it.

Kenny Stills has improved his route running quite a bit, like what I see from him. The cheerleaders always show up as well. 2 positives
 
Calling him a bust is harsh, I think he can be a good WR eventually, but he needs that alpha dog mentally when he gets on the field.

As bad as the QB play has been this season they will get a pass because of the terrible state of the Oline. It's hard to diagnose the QB play when they are constantly being beat up.
