Dolphins coach Tony Sparano seemed weary after his customary all-night film study of Sunday's season-opening 19-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but he wasn't about to pull the plug on the long season ahead.

"Sixteen teams lost yesterday," said Sparano, not accounting for the fact that three games were played on Thursday and Monday. "That doesn't make it good by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think anybody else is canceling the season."

The Dolphins started last season 0-2 before winning 11 of their final 14 regular-season games. However, Sparano and his players know four turnovers and an ineffective offensive line are a recipe for disaster.

"There's only one team in history that's been undefeated in this league," safety Yeremiah Bell said. "You learn from your mistakes. … We're not scared. We gave them opportunities to beat us and you can't do that to a playoff team in their place."

Coach also said that Arizona went 9-7 and to the playoffs so there is no need to worry. Does he really think you can go 9-7 in the AFC EAST, arguably the toughest division in football and win the division? Hell No.

ACT NOW!!!!

What's he supposed to say???

it's not like he can quit and run to Alabama, that job is filled.

How could he not panic? Does he not realize that Pennington sucks and its time to see what we have in Henne? Does he not know that Fasano needs to be cut, but somehow remains on the roster? We have a terrible Offensive line, our DBs are all terrible, and Ronnie and Ted Ginn are busts. We lost a game we should be having a fire sale right now and rebuilding for the 2015 season. C'mon Sparano Panic!!!!!

Or realize that none of that stuff is true. Whichever you want Tony.

If he said anything else, then I would call for his head.......Its one game in a long season, if he panicks then the team will panick........I cant wait until monday when we beat the colts, then we will have to put up with were going to the super bowl posts for a week.

I try not to get to high when we win or to low when we lose, that is until the last quarter of the season then all bets are off lol........

You act by fixing the biggest problem first. Our line is much better than we displayed on Sunday and, if they have any pride at all, they will prove it this week. I cannot imagine two ragged performances without making significant alterations up front. Especially when the head coach made his bones coaching the O-line.

But unlike some, it's not a kneejerk reaction for me. I've been saying it for a year now. It's not panic on my part.

I don't know which is worse a bad decision made in panic or the inability to see how bad a decision it is for over a year.
