DAVIE - How does Tony Sparano feel about the
New England Patriots' decision to trade Pro Bowl defensive end Richard Seymour to Oakland for a first-round draft pick?
The
Miami Dolphins coach didn't have to say anything. The slow fist pump and the broad smile on his face said it all.
That was just one example of the playful mood Sparano was in Monday afternoon as the Dolphins turned their full attention to Sunday's season opener in Atlanta.
Another moment of levity during his news conference came when Sparano mimicked a coin flip when asked how he'll determine who starts opposite Ted Ginn Jr. at wide receiver.
"I don't mean to be a jerk," Sparano said. "I need to laugh a little bit today."
Sparano said thanks to increased depth, there's no need this year for one receiver to be on the field for 65 plays in a single game.
"The best thing to do is probably to play them all," he said.
