Players and coaches alike looked at their fourth-quarter collapse against the Bills, a collapse which turned a 14-7 lead into a 31-14 loss, and everyone agreed the Dolphins have a problem finishing.

The Dolphins are perhaps the NFL's worst team at finishing games.

They've blown games against Indianapolis, New Orleans, and the Bills in the final stanza this year. They also got outplayed by San Diego in the fourth quarter of that game.

The coaching by the Dolphins staff was horrible on Sunday. I have great respect for the Miami coaching staff because I believe they often get the most production out of some limited talent. But this blowout upset loss was different.

This was embarrassing.

The facts are the Dolphins were facing an inferior team on Sunday. The Buffalo starting cornerbacks of Leodis McKelvin and Terrence McGee did not play on Sunday. The Buffalo offensive line was missing two starters and had another dude playing out of position. The Buffalo head coach is a rookie. And Ryan Fitzpatrick from Harvard? Really?

The Bills had nothing to play for but pride while the Dolphins' season was on the line.

Then one has to understand the Dolphins had 10 days to prepare for this game.

Can you just imagine what Buddy Ryan would have done if Henning called that rb pass if he were the coach?

He would have ran up to the box in the middle of the game and kicked the **** out of that old man.

I am sooo tired of Henning over doing it with the trick plays. Why TF would they put Pat White in at a crucial time in a game that we are losing?

the trick play crap has gotta go already, enough is enough...a reverse with Ginn or something little from time to time is fine but Henning overdoes it way too much. I mean a Ricky Williams pass on first down on the one yard line? we just got done pounding the ball and this is what he comes up with? really? i was just shocked when i saw that play unfold.

the defense...i dont even know what to say. Its just bad at the end of games. We let teams get such massive chunks of yardage. We pressure the QB all day then we stop puttin pressure on him for no reason at the end. The tackling has been atrocious throughout the season. Its like our defensive playcalling gets so soft in the 4th quarter. We should be playing to win instead of playing not to lose. We let up alot of big plays and let teams just move the ball with ease.

Henning is a guy that has lost a step and is to old for this game. Im trying to be nice here...

from my point of view it looks like Pasq gets to the 4th qrt and curls up into a shell and tries not to let the big play happen but at the end beacuse he is being so conservitive he lets the big play happen. All in all at the end both need to go.

We have position coaches, quality control coaches and now we need quarter coaches!!!! We need someone that understands the 4th quarter and how to close it out on defense.
