Dolphins Combine Meetings

Jersey Shore GIF by Jersey Shore Family Vacation

Landon Jackson is moving up.

I’d offer him a 3 year 28 million as a risk maybe with 21 million guaranteed this offseason. Get him at a discount if he makes it through the season and recovers if not it’s not much more guaranteed then you’re paying him on his 5th year.
If he suffers another season ending injury I am moving on.

Do you have any FAs in mind? Or just more saying in general?
Teven Jenkins, James Daniels, Patrick Mekari, Will Hernandez, Ben Bredeson.

Hernandez is great in pass pro and then he's gonna give us that nastiness in the run game we've been missing. Not the best mover so not exactly the perfect fit for WZ but tweaks need to be made and we need to be able to run between the tackles more. He won't break the bank either allowing us to spend up on the other Guard spot

Mekari has flexibility across entire OL playing 500+ snaps at each tackle position but seems lik LG might be his best spot. Also more power than zone but again, adjustments and a blend of the 2 worlds need to be made. Mekari at LG is easy kickoff to LT if Paul goes down if they prefer Kion as more backup RT.

All this goes to show there are just tons of ways to address OL, depth and starters without pigeon holing ourselves into having to take one early. I want to take one early in normal building circumstances but getting the OL solidified right now to me means Free Agents supplemented by the draft. Can't chance another Liam in the 2nd RD not panning out and leaving the OL incomplete, again

Jordan Burch was another impressive player today.

6'4 279

4.67 40

1.66 10 yard split

33" arms

11 TFL 8.5 sacks for Oregon in 2024.

He could either lose 10 lbs and be a 4-3 DE or gain 10 lbs and be a 3-4 DE

Please draft an OLIneman and use him where he excelled in college. If he is a "true" swing player, then move him around where you need him. Please, please, no more projects!
Not projects, same thought as you with Zabel. Guys with both capabilities

OL is priority 1, 2, and 3. Sign Will Hernandez and James Daniels(for example), bring back Wynn, and you relieve the "need" and stress of making sure to draft OL early. At that point you can draft one anywhere

Paul---Free Agent--- Brewer--- Free Agent--- Jackson
Kion Smith, Isaiah Wynn, Andrew Meyer, FA/DP, Draft pick

If we can sign a guy like Mekari, he has OT capabilities. Or you draft a Tackle and train him at OG and then you can double down and draft a pure IOL. There are ways to shore up the OL without selecting one in the top 2 RDs. Trading back and adding Day 2 picks would make things easier too. Or trading Tyreek, which is what I really want. Or both
no doubt free agency could be the key

He has been one of my favorite players in this draft.

I can't ever remember having a Dolphins LB as talented as he is.

He is probably one of the safest picks since he is going to be a stud NFL LB where as some of these other traits based or even production based players are riskier picks.

Trade down to the 20ish range and we can have a conversation.
