Dolphins considered potential suitors for CJ Spiller

why hes just a clone of miller, before last year id say he was a better rb but miller proved himself and performed a lot better for us, we need a power back to compliment miller not another speedster, especially since spiller is injury prone just wouldn't make sense
 
ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the Cardinals, Jets, Dolphins, and 49ers are "potential suitors [with] considerable interest" in free agent C.J. Spiller.

Miami is in the market for an upgrade on free agent Daniel Thomas next to Lamar Miller. Spiller is going to have a hot market despite injury concerns coming off a down 2014. He's our No. 2 available back behind DeMarco Murray.

He is always injured.I would take a long look at Gore
 
yea gore, dangelo williams would make a lot of sense, miami native, also a power back for 3rd down and goaline plays


but i dont think maurry is coming to miami, he just cost too much and besides i hate to see him run, looks like hes gonna fumble on every play, he holds the football funny to me or i think he runs to high something just looks weird about him so please no to maurry
 
Spiller is good when he is not injured....I doubt we sign him but he's worth kicking the tires on and looking under the hood, for the right price.
 
Spillers in for a rude awakening as a free agent...that rookie old cba contract he came in on at like 50 mil is history
 
At the price it cost for spiller, not very much, I'm completely cool with going after him.

This offense needs to add a dynamic player who can create huge plays for himself, especially a guy who it doesn't take a lot of work to get the ball in his hands. Spiller is that kind of player.

Our offense, although much improved, has to work way to hard to create points.
 
Isn't Miller a FA after 2015? We're probably looking at being able to let him walk if the cap forces a tough decision. That means looking at backs we could get similar production from for a smaller cap hit.

Also, I don't see how Damien Williams isn't embedded on our roster. I loved what he did for us last year. He had one bad drop in a meaningless game vs NY.

no hes not Spiller is better then Miller at Receiving & could be a KR/PR for our team & is more explosive
 
If we wanna dish out that much money on a RB, Gore makes way more sense. Spiller could command around $5M annually...Gore will be cheaper and would work much better with Miller.

Guy's too injury prone for me too at that salary.
 
To injury prone, plus this year is deep at RB. I would prefer we go after one around the 3rd round.
