Dolphins Continue to be Smart in Free Agency

Agree with all of that... his dead-air pauses are a bit strange, but I think he's right.

Big O expresses my exact thoughts much better than I can. I thought I'd share them here. Hope his words turn out to be worth the gander to you.

It is never a good feeling agreeing with the lil O, but he is right IMO. And yes he's odd, even more so now. Didn't know he was still around after being let go a few years ago from 560 WQAM. Biggest ego maniac on the radio IMO.

IDK, he can be abrasive, and intolerant of anyone who disagrees, but he usually backs up his opinion with sound reasoning.

I don't trust his evals on individual players, but his overall assessment of team direction, or lack thereof, is insightful.

At least a couple levels above Omar and Hyde, IMO.

He's called it right over the years.

Didn't believe in Philbin from the start.
Same with Sporano and Tannehill.
Called out Tannenbaum as a bad hire.
Explained how the front office should be structured by hiring the GM and having the GM hire the coach.
Accurate about how successful the team would be before the season started.

That's just the few I remember off the top of my head. Would I want to hang out with him? Lol hell no. But he knows his stuff.

Or you can just watch @uk_dolfan and @datruth55 blindly bitch about every single move the Dolphins make as if they have no idea what they're doing. It's entertaining sometimes.

Some people close their ears once they decide they don't like someone. Others can see nuance.

Very abrasive. So abrasive that I turn him off sometimes. I listen to get my Dolphins fix, that's all lol. Who else is giving it to you raw like that? Not Crowder or Joe Rose, that's for sure. They're affiliated with the Dolphins, so they're company men. You can tell.

For your information, I have approved of the several things the Dolphins have done this preseason :) If they do more smart things I will let you know.

However, if they dare to pass on Tua for Herbert? You can be assured that I will let you know my views on that aswell

Edit: Wait, this post opened with a defence of Big O?

They signed a 25 year old RB who's known for being a power back. We didn't have a better RB on the roster last year. Two years, $10M. Your response to the singing?

"Eh"

 But I'm sure you have no agenda and you're objective.

Draft running backs.

I didn't say im objective, id sack the front office tomorrow and feel much better about the upcoming draft. But il also say when they occasionally do something smart

Joe used to be more objective, but these days, yeah, I don't listen much anymore.

1 hour = 38 minutes of commercials + 13 minutes of foolishness. That only leaves 9 minutes for any substance.

Sure, draft running backs. You need more than two though. Have you even looked at his stats though? Jordan has already had success in the league. When you can add more talent to the roster at that price, you do it.

Plus, signing Jordan means a draft pick can be spent on something else besides RB. If they were going to draft 3 RBs, now they only need to draft 2.

But of course, if they don't address all the holes this offseason, you'll be bitching again. Can't win. Grier's head on a stick is all you want. Nothing else will satisfy.

He shouts down anyone critical of the Dolphins, a lot of fake nervous laughter when guests are on the phone. Always talking about another man's wallet. Not a fun listen.

20 years of association with failure sure is hard to shake off
