Ok, first off don't flame me. Just providing the info for those interested. Obviously the playoff chances are on life support right now with a 1% chance of making the playoffs and that only rising to 8% even if we win out.

With 3 football games going a certain way this week the Dolphins would be eliminated from playoff contention for the 7th year in a row. If the Jets beat the Titans, Chiefs beat the Chargers and then the Dolphins lose on Monday night the Dolphins would be official eliminated from playoffs. The Jets, Chiefs and Giants are all favored.

With everything going the Dolphins way we could be 1 game behind the last playoff spot at Midnight on Monday.
Not very likely but something to root for.

Chargers beat Chiefs
Titans beat Jets
Bengals beat Steelers
Eagles beat Bills
Patriots beat Texans
Broncos beat Raiders

New England can clinch it's 7th AFC East title in a row with a win against Texans and a Jets loss to the Titans.

Some things never change.

I would just love to see a game where they convert 40% or more on 3rd down.

G-men are 31st at allowing 3rd down conversions at 45% so you just might get your wish granted this week.

Can you believe St. Louis is even WORSE than Miami on 3rd downs?

You would think they would be better with decent running game. But QB play has been bad for the Rams.

Dolphins have no chance unless they win out and even then they would need a lot of help.

Yep, need Jets to go 1-3 and Bills to go 2-2 at best. Then need other things to happen also. Very unlikely.

The reason we're so on 3rd down is cause we're always on 3rd and long....hard to do good when you're 3rd and 9 or longer. It's a run for a 2 yard game then a sack so we're at 3rd and 16.....not an easy thing to convert. Too many sacks or holfing penalties or dropped pass or a run for no gain or a pass that was off....show me a team that's always on 3rd and short and their convertion % will be high....we need to do better on 1st and 2nd down and we need to stop running routes of 4 yards when we need 6

Ozzy rules

playoffs?.....playoffs?.....playoffs?....id just like to win a game...we have fired our coaches and we are 0-5 in division and you are still worried about playoffs!...let it go man

We need to lose out so real change can come to this organization and position ourselves for a top 10 pick.

Yeah...top ten picks are guaranteed to turn this around....its even better when you give up a high 2nd rounder to boot to get that top ten pick.....Jordan has saved this franchise!

Play to win....always....that is the only thing that will pull this once great franchise out of bottom feeder status.

Losing out just makes it all the more unapealling for anyone to want to be part of it.

I would prefer they lose out the rest of the season and start over next year with a HIGH Draft pick

Disagree..winning out will accomplish what exactly? Mediocrity, the same bs every year. If you are ok with that then good for you.

yea because rooting to lose so we get compensated with a better draft pick sounds like a real accomplishment to be proud of.....

if you think us getting the #6 pick as opposed to the #12 is going to be the biggest reason why this team suddenly turns it around and gets to greatness you are sadly mistaken, IMO.

it takes hitting on more than 30% of your draft picks regardless of round or overall #, it takes interviewing and hiring the right HC to lead this team, it takes installing the right offense to utilize the QB properly and find balance with the run game, it takes player development and personnel use that puts the talent you have in positions to play at their best.....

if we're going for the #1 or #2 overall pick looking for a QB (Ie: bucs last year) then yea, maybe I get it....but rooting to lose now is a sad type of a fan IMO.

So, Murphy's Law now dictates that the Dolphins will average 50 points the last 4 games, be THE team, nobody wants to face in the playoffs and MISS the playoffs by some obscure tie breaker...followed by 9 months of "IF ONLY..." threads
