Not saying this will happen but there's a possibility miami could have a higher draft pick in rd 1. We all know New England is subject to lose a 1st rd pick via Deflategate. Atlanta is also under investigation for false crowd noise. Finally Cleveland is also under the scope for texting down to coaches from the boxes. Now cleveland has two 1st rd picks; their own which is 12 and Buffalos which is 19. If Atlanta and Cleveland both lose their picks miami would move up 2 picks as both are ahead of miami.

New England losing their 1st Rd pick would not affect miami in rd 1.

Cleveland losing their pick would be huge if the Fins want to draft a WR.

Did not think about that. Fins up!

Ray Farmer was offered our GM job just last year.

Cleveland is completely upside down right now. We really dodged a bullet there. And the other guy we offered the job to, Lake Dawson just lost his job, dodged a bullet there too. Funny how things work out, Farmer was suppose to be primed to be a great GM, had People calling him the next Ozzie Newsome.

Hopefully this helps us out in the draft, this draft is so bad I don't really even know if it does though.

The investigation of the Browns is one of four active NFL probes. The Atlanta Falcons, for allegedly using fake crowd noise at home games, the New England Patriots, for allegedly using underinflated footballs in the first half of the AFC Championship Game, and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, for allegedly tampering with Darrelle Revis via comments he made about the Patriots cornerback, also are the subject of investigations.

Maybe they will all lose a draft pick (doubt it though).

lets not think about that yet...we dont know anything yet on what the NFL will do about that stuff....

Fins up and lets plan for what we want to do with the 14th pick...

Atlanta losing a first seems much more likely than Cleveland. Pumping in crowd noise is an administrative, organization decision not unlike Spygate (which cost NE a first). Given that Blank has already admitted culpability that would clear the road for a punishment this year. As I understand it Blank is pretty tight with Goodell but very few owners are tighter with Goodell than Kraft and they still got dinged for a first.

The Cleveland thing is much more identifiable with specific individuals and would be more consistent with individual fines and suspensions imo.

I think there's a good chance we end up with #13. 50/50. Getting to #12 seems much more unlikely.

Falcons pick is so high that it would be really punitive. I think they give up a second, max. Cleveland maybe something less than that, like a 3rd. Just my 2 c

I was thinking none of these teams would really lose a first round pick but you make an argument for an overall 'organizational" decision that Atlanta made which could lead to a more severe type of penalty.

Wouldn't be fair to take away a first round pick of a team because their pick is low but if you're bad enough to have a high pick you actually get a lesser penalty, would it? I get what you're saying but that's what it would mean. You're better off cheating if you suck because the punishment won't be as severe.

At most these teams would lose a 2nd but more likely a day 3 pick
