Dolphins Could Surprise??

Saw that earlier in another post but I feel the exact same way. The Dolphins are in fact an enigma. I think it would surprise those who aren't Dolphins fans if we went 10-6 and made the playoffs, but it wouldn't shock me the slightest. On the flip side, I could also see us at 6-10 again.
 
Always nice to have some reason for optimism before reality sets in.
 
I am really excited about the Dolphins this year. Our defense just got better, and we actually got a good decision maker under center that doesn't have a bum knee. That is not a knock on Daunte, but he wasn't healthy and made bad decisions. I wish he could have worked out, but it is what it is.

It's funny how last year we we're picked to such great things and this year we've upgraded a lot and we're picked to do nothing.

QB - Trent Green is more accurate and makes better decisions over even a healthy Culpepper. (upgrade)

RB - Ronnie Brown/Lorenzo Booker/Corey Cantspellhislastname over RB/Sammy Morris/Minor (upgrade)

WR - Hagan w/ another year under his belt plus THE Teddy Ginn. (upgrade)

DF - Porter and Jason Allen playing the CORRECT position. (upgrade)

ST - Ginn (upgrade)

K - Mare used to be the kinda kicker that if got the ball inside the 35 we at least had 3 pts, but hasn't been that way in a couple of years. (upgrade ?)

I like this. Well put. Some might even say our coaching staff has seen some improvements. But our O-line is gonna be the deciding factor in my opinion.

totally agreed and don't forget the OLINE,THEIR YOUNG,ATHELETIC AND NASTY. {UPGRADE},,I MAY BE A HOMER ON THIS ONE BUT I DO FEEL WE WILL GET BETTER PRODUCTION OUT OF OUR TIGHT END THIS YEAR
 
Our coaching turnover might hurt us...however, keeping our defensive coordinator was a huge plus. We added some guys last year and were a fashionable pick...this year, we've had time for some of those guys to learn and have upgraded some areas. We should have won 4-6 more games last year...we may perform better to potential this year. With that said, I wouldn't bet 10 bucks on me being able to predict out wins plus or minus 3 games.

I do think our defensive backs will be better without NS confusing them the whole time.
 
Ok, can you guys stop with the optimism? It's got me thinking too positively and expecting probably way too much. I'd much prefer to go into the season with super low expectations and be pleasantly surprised...
