Dolphins | Culpepper might practice twice in one day
Fri, 9 Jun 2006 08:55:07 -0700
Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) might practice twice in a day starting this weekend. Culpepper has been taking part in all practices during the team's offseason program that started in May. Culpepper is ahead of schedule in his recovery, but the team will pay close attention to how much work he gets. Head coach Nick Saban said, "''We always monitor his workload so not to have him take too many reps, but he's getting the right amount, as many as you would expect a quarterback to get. We'll see how he does in the first practice, and then it will be his call about how much, if any, work he does in the afternoon."

You'll get your chance during preseason. That's all the time I hope I see him this year unless it's in mop up duty.

Dolphins | Saban updates Culpepper's rehab
Fri, 9 Jun 2006 12:38:00 -0700
Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban updated what the doctors have said about QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) during his press conference Friday, June 9. Saban said, "The doctors have told us that what he needs to do right now is things that he needs to do at his position. That he has the strength and stability to do everything that he needs to do at his position and the best part, the next step of his rehab, would be to do things that he does at his position and play his position. Even if he may not be 100 percent in terms of his mobility or movement, it's still the best rehab for him right now as well as the rest of what he does in his rehab to continue to develop."

If Saban would have said "position" one more time I might have gotten confused but as it stands it makes perfect sense

So did he practice a 2nd time?

BLITZKRIEG just submitted his afternoon (3-5 pm) practice report.

Daunte did everything. He practiced the whole way through. The guy is doing great. I can't tell you how happy I am we selected him instead of Drew Brees now.

he still shouldn't play the steelers. let joey take the hits from that pass rush
F**k the Steelers and their defense, you play these games to win! Sitting an able and ready Culpepper would make absolutely no sense.
