Clayton: "Deke Cooper should sign soon".

"Dolphins bolstering secondary: The Dolphins continue to upgrade their secondary. They should be able to land Jaguars safety Deke Cooper in the next 24 hours. The Jaguars tendered Cooper a first-round choice last year as a restricted free agent last year. He will become the fourth addition to the secondary."

Sounds good. Not to familiar with him, or what he's done. Anyone can look up stats, but has anyone seen him play on a consistent basis that can provide some feedback on him?

:cpatch: Nice! The more additions, the better. I am really starting to like the look of this secondary. No real flashy names, just good solid Saban type players. :)

exactly so i am SURE saban has somethign in mind via draft. I doubt we go D this year again.

so you think he will be our starting strong safety? hmmm... we might be seeing some interesting camp battles....

For starting

cornerbacks...Allen, Poole, Daniels

Strong Safety...Tillman, Cooper

Free Safety...Hill, Bell

Well it looks like we are drafting linebacker with first pick in the draft..

i think we might be fine and secondary now or at least good enough considering we are younger and saban can now work his magic on what he knows best...if we get a backup soon, joey harrington, i think we are giving up on lavar by 1) by spending more money not to be able to afford him 2) fulfilling all needs as well as posssible for the draft except olb...OLB's look very nice in round 1...Ernie Sims..Manny Lawson..Chad Greenway

Holmes or Jackson will make me a happy man. :D

man watching holmes or jackson streaking down the field to catch one of culpeppers bomb sends chills up my spine

Yeah i would love to have Chad Jackson on our team...He did some great stuff for my Gators

Chad Jackson...I think Denver is snapping up Santonio Holmes ahead of us.

I'm very excited about having Cooper, he's a solid, not flashy player who can get the job done. I think Cooper and Bell will start this year with Hill and Tillman as backups. IMO with the McIntosh signing I think we have narrowed our 1st round selection to either WR or OLB. I believe we are in good shape for either because I believe Lawson, Greenway or Sims will be available at 16 and I also believe that either Holmes or Jackson will be available at 16. I gotta update my mock now. WHOOOOOOO!!!!!

Santonio Holmes = SOLD

I think Denver moved ahead of us for Jackson rather than Holmes. At least that's what most reports say. I'd actually PREFER Jackson, but I see Holmes more likely to be there. I also wouldn't mind trading down, picking up a 2nd rounder, and taking Sinorice Moss with the new 1st rounder.

Our secondary is shaping up. Nothing too flashy, but Saban has a lot of young talent to work with.
