What's the point of rushing 4-5 when you aren't getting any pressure on the QB whatsoever? I mean, even when one player breaks free and forces the QB to move left / right, there is nobody else remotely close to take advantage and clean things up.

If the Dolphin defense is going to allow unlimited time to throw, they might as well drop all 11 in coverage once they read pass.

What a joke.

We're starting to figure it out, our coverage is good enough to rush an extra CB

agree..there was no pressure today. Maybe something to address in the off season.

peezy has to be the quietest top four sack leaders I have ever seen. Did he get 15 plus in one or two games?

We need O line and D line badly!!

Our corners are the only players capable of pressuring the QB. It's effective but dangerous. Peezy is useless when doubled and our Lbers can't penetrate an OLine at all.

Ridiculous.

I guess Pennington's 4 picks weren't a factor? Or perhaps the lack of a running game either?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm not trashing Pennington. He was indeed the reason for Dolphins being where they were today. But to tear up the Dolphins defense is absolutely ludicrous.

That unit is what kept the Dolphins in the game.

Give credit where credit is due. And that was the Ravens defense.

Clearly We Need A Long Ball Q.b. A Francise Player Like Marino, and A Run Stuffer, like Bob Sanders,of Course They Lost Too!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed.

Defense played well today and forced a few punts that could've changed the game had our offense taken advantage. You CAN'T win balls games with five turnovers.

Exactly.

Everyone pointing finger at Pennington, Ginn, etc aren't admitting the obvious. The Dolphins lost this game because they couldn't generate a pass rush, couldn't protect their own QB or run the football consistently. It's really that simple.

The Ravens put the Dolphins in obvious passing situations because they couldn't run the ball. Then, the Ravens had the tools to consistently pressure and harass one of the more accurate and error free QB's in the league. Penny had happy feet all day long, made terrible decisions and inaccurate throws. That's all on the o-line. Even Peyton Manning and Tom Brady look terrible with no ground game and no time to throw.

Defensively, the Dolphins rarely get off the field on 3rd down. That's been the theme all season long. While the Ravens offense wasn't spectacular, they made a fair share of 3rd down conversions and were only pressured into 1 turnover. For the most part, Flacco looked comfortable in the pocket and had all the time in the world to find open receivers.

Every game the Dolphins lost this season looked eerily similar.

If the Dolphins improve the o-line and the defense front 7, they'll win games like this. The Ravens don't exactly have a ton of play makers on offense and look how good they are.

Stop blaming the skill positions.

I don't think pressure on Flacco was a big factor he only pass for 135 yds., we simply got outplayed by their defense.

If you look at the TO the two that hurt the most were the interception return by Reed for TD and Cobbs fumble, that one was a killer we were only down 10-3 at that time.
