Dolphins D vs Seattle D

You have to take into account that their coaching staff is top-notch and has an eye for talent. Their starting LB's and S all have been drafted within the past four years with Thomas being their highest pick(1st) and Browner being their lowest(UDFA). Besides Bobby Wagner and Earl Thomas, everyone else was drafted in the 3rd and later. Like someone mentioned before their physicality also sets them apart from us.

While thats true...its also an unfair comparison because of schematics. We play off-man man and zone quite a bit...while they let their corners press and play bump and run. Our DBs are built towards that style of play. We had the corners to play a physical press style with Davis and even Smith (not saying he was good but its his strong suite) but instead elected to move away from that due to the scheme Coyle wants to run.
This. Although I don't know it's the scheme Coyle wants to run, frankly our personnel fits his scheme.

Seattle's defensive scheme starts with the corners. They have big disruptive corners who can run, and they press you to death. The only way to get off these corners is to have a Mike Wallace-type receiver who can blow the top off, but that requires time to develop, and the Hawks have a good enough pass rush to take that away. So the opposition is forced to try to go inside (run or pass) - but with Seattle's active and very physical LB's and safeties who love to play downhill, it is very tough sledding in there.

If we want to copy the Seahawks, it will start by finding two 6'+, 200+ pound corners with speed and physicality. How hard could that be? ;)
