http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-andre-branch-20180214-story.htmlLet’s start with the numbers: Miami Dolphins defensive end Andre Branch got a big contract (three years, $24 million) and his production decreased, going from 5.5 sacks in 2016, to 4.5 sacks in 2017.
The reality is the 28-year-old Branch still made 14 starts despite battling groin and knee injuries, and the knee problem was so bad it required surgery last month.
“I’m not about to get into specifics about it,” Branch said of the procedure over the weekend, “but it was much needed.”
But set all that aside. It’s in the past.
