Dolphins Debbie Downer's Do's & Don'ts?

Here's a Happy Hour discussion/debate from South Beach last night. The "Debbie Downer" label is an over exaggeration for most Phans but, all the D's sounded good.

Every Phan has been critical of the team, owner, FO, coaches, and players at some point. It's part of being a fan, and everyone has the right to do so. This thread is to question what the forum thinks the limits should be in what fans should do or don't do. Here's a few examples from what was said, and it did become a somewhat heated discussion.

Do's

Do criticize an owner for making some bonehead moves.
Do criticize a GM for "questionable" moves.

Don't

Don't say players suck, are hot garbage, etc. when they give their best, although taking shots from what you see is fine.
Don't be a Debbie Downer because others are just to be in the majority.

This is a very small sampling but, I wanted to leave things open for your views?

Don't just come to the site when the team loses, be here when they win also. Seriously people I've never heard of come out of the word work following losses and some folks who post often disappear following wins. Makes no sense.

Don't - hold onto PAST mistakes/poor performance of developing players with a death grip, dismissing them as hot garbage. Fans want to develop in house talent, but are quick to dismiss guys before have a chance to make their mistakes.

Do - Criticize whoever you want for whatever mistakes they are making. Fans on here are pretty darn critical, but really nothing wrong with it, even if I get sick of seeing too much of it.

Do - praise and criticize when deserved.....but back it up. Give some detail and or examples.

Don't - Start whining 5 minutes into the game, in the game-day thread that the game is over and we are going to lose because we had a 3 and out or because the defense gave up a first down!

Do wait at least 24 to criticize Dolphin's play after a win.

Don't settle for average.

Most thought that Phans were entitled to say whatever they wanted, within some semblance of reason. One unanswered question was a Dad saying toned down what he screamed at the TV when he heard his 10 year old son telling friends that Wheeler F'n Sucks because that was what he heard Dad saying. Don't have kids or an answer on what to do there. Any Dad's have that problem?
