For the second consecutive week, the Miami Dolphins will be tasked with stopping one of the most dominant players in the league. Last week, the Dolphins were posed with slowing down J.J. Watt. This week, their challenge comes on the other side of the ball in Rob Gronkowski.
Prior to the Dolphins' game against the Houston Texans, head coach Dan Campbell joked that he was going to put the entire offensive line on Watt. Unsurprisingly, he's taking a similar approach this week with Gronkowski.

I mean the guy is an animal and he can do everything. You put him out there and he’s a mismatch one-on-one, route running, big body, excellent hands. You put him in, he can block the point of attack. He can pass protect. I guess you could hand him the ball if you wanted to and have him run it as running back. But there again, kind of like what we did with J.J. Watt last week -- we put all five linemen on him [Joking]. We’ll probably put the whole secondary on him and go from there.

Beat the crap out of him is a good start. Hit him low and send him tumbling through the air like a pin wheel. Make him tap out. Eat a snickers.

My opinion. Of course.

BNF.

he's gonna go thru our small dbs like kindle wood

outside of reshad everyone else is getting plowed

can't allow him to get any clean release off the LOS....make him work for every yard and pray your pass rush can get to Brady

without help jones is getting plowed to. can't have this guy one on one at all

better hope reshad doesn't miss any tackles in space on him cause the other guys are just gonna ping right off of him unless he pile drives them with that robo cop stiff arm

hearing it all week up here so sick of it. gronk might be the only guy on that team i respect. I'm hopeful the new staff is smart enough not to let gronk and edelman beat us (or at least put our guys in position to make plays against them).

the trick to beating the Patriots is always hitting Brady early and often. if our DL plays like it did the last two games it completely changes the offense Brady has to run.

Key's to Victory:
1. Stop the run and pressure the QB.
Physical punishment. Both players should be grabbed and held while the 2nd defensive player comes in for the kill shot.
1. Brady at the knees.
2. Hit Gronk at the knees
I am in a bad mood right now...:d-day:

Need a hand on him every release. I can see them sending him out wide which is going to cause some real issues for us. Hate to pull Jones out there with him because I think they will try to run from that formation. Or short passes to Lewis which is going to also suck with our LBs.

Like Rex Ryan said. "They have Gronk. We'll put Kong on him"

I never understand why no teams ever chuck him at the line. They just let him run right past them hoping that he just drops the ball. I think the trick is going low on him and, not let him use that upper body strength to muscle past them.

Many teams do chuck him at the LOS. He's been held to little to no gain in the first halves of those games. In the 2nd half, the Pats have made adjustments and all of a sudden teams seem to drop coverage or don't adjust quickly enough.

The Pats put him (& Edelman) in motion a lot. Hard to know who'll be covering who and they avoid any contact.
