The 2013 version of the Miami Dolphins defense can be described as middle of the road when it comes to yardage, however, they have excelled in the critical red zone categories.

The Dolphins rank 14th in total defense, which is good but not overly impressive.

However, the Dolphins ninth in scoring defense at 21.0 points per game, and they're tied for eighth in red zone defense, allowing their opponents a touchdown just 48.8 percent of the time they get inside the Dolphins' 20-yard line.

Looks like the red zone defense is pretty good overall.

I'd say the opponents' 73 QB rating is the most important and impactful.

I think statistics are way overblown.

If we played in the AFC North, our stats would look so much different IMO.

I only really care about things such as 3rd down conversions, turnovers, QB play, and points scored. But some of these point this out.

A team can be avg. in first half of season but find their way and change making those first half of season stats kind of irrelevant. I think BB said stats are for losers?
