The greatest thing about this is that Jason looks like he has 5 more years left in him, and Zach looks like he has at least 2 or 3. Zach is still one of the leading tacklers in the NFL, and Channing could take his place. Our secondary is very young, and has come into their own once we benched tillman. Jason Allen has been impressive so far, and the resurgence of Yeremiah has been exactly what we needed.

Our defense is only old on the line, but we have a couple years before that becomes a problem.

The defense has played lights out the last couple of weeks and it's not surprising that they are ranked number 2. We all questioned Saban for the personel he has brought in on defense but it's starting to look like he knows what he's doing on defense.

The reason our D is so good is because of ZT and JT.

Miami defense:
#2 in yards per game allowed (277.0)
#12 in rushing yards allowed (99.8)
#4 in passing yards allowed (177.2)
#8 in points allowed (18.7)
#13 in 3rd down conversion percentage (35.9%)
(38 conversion by running,90 conversion by passing (both are top 10))

The only move that I questioned was signing Will Allen after watching him getting burned so much while playing with the Giants here in NY. I think the young guys they already drafted like Fred Evans and Matt Roth will be able to step in right away and continue to play as well as the veterans have.

our defense rules!!!! it was never a problem!!! I hope they keep winning for us and the offense just doesn't turn the ball over!

I am stunned, I never realised they were doing so well. I mean the last few weeks the O has started to roll, and mostly when that happens, the D looks better. But those stats are brilliant, considering our record. Props to the D:rawk:

I guess you didn't see the nationally televised game against the Steelers. I guess you didn't watch our Db's getting burnt for TD's.

Yeah, but that was the first game of the season. We stank then, and you are right, it was embarrassing. But Bell and J Allen are starting to contribute now. Goodman, W Allen and Travis are all doing well at the mo. Granted Travis isn't probably 100% yet. So show some patience fellow Fin Fan :D

Yeremiah Bell has been getting a lot of the props lately, and deservedly so, but one guy who is really starting to play well is Andre Goodman.

It's encouraging, because for this team to become a championship contender they need to hit paydirt on a few of these mid-level free agents.
