Dolphins defense trying to change ... but not to 3-4

JT bullrush a LT in his rookie year? Because that is the only year you can compare the 2 in the pros so far.... College ball is not even relevant. Totally different game.

I don't think I see where I said they are the same player.. I said he has the tools to become like him. I even think he's more athletic than JT, but I don't know if he will be better.

This is one of the truest and overlooked statements that one will ever read on any sports forum anywhere. College means nothing once going into the pros, since a majority of drafted players never live up to their draft status driven by college results. We see it every year in every single sport. College =/= Pro's

It seems like Ireland got too fixated on the physical performance metrics of certain players rather than their actual performance in games. Dion Jordan remains a work in progress with freaky physical potential, but we need to see more from him this year. I don't understand the expensive acquisition of Philip Wheeler. One of the worst recruiting decisions I've seen and Finheaven members were projecting a possible disaster from the moment he was signed. Wheeler's Agent totally exploited the team by offering the low payment year 1 and the guaranteed balloon in year 2. I understand the logic but if the player isn't even good enough to be on the team, a total disaster. Wheeler was a known product with many years at Indy before his good season on a bad Raiders team. Southbeach2 remains optimistic that Wheeler will improve significantly this year. We live in hope. There is a real possibility that Hickey will draft the LB who is athletic and a good tackler. I don't have any faith in converting Koa Misi to a middle linebacker, but maybe I'm wrong. He is very competitive.
If Ireland is wondering why he lost his job, he just needs to remember the total stupidity of the Wheeler acquisition. Ireland was consistently bad at drafting and recruiting Linebackers. In contrast, he was actually quite decent at drafting DBs, where we got good value from many late round picks.

You know its bad when fans are better scouting than the morons who actually get paid to do it. Thank god "Boss" Ireland is gone... More like "Boss Hog".

A tweener that had 11.5 sacks lining up at DE and should have made the PB over Wake. Not sure why anyone would want to move him as he proved that he can play DE.

Wake and Vernon did an excellent job getting to the QB as undersized DEs but how did they hold up against the run?
