Like many NFL cornerbacks, Andre Goodman has a story about going up against Brett Favre. Few of the tales have happy endings.
Goodman's fate against No. 4 has been especially grim - eight meetings, seven losses and one broken thumb while trying to intercept one of Favre's bullets.
Goodman will attempt to put his experience to good use Sunday when the Dolphins face Favre in his first start for the New York Jets.
The last time Favre played at Dolphin Stadium was 2006, Goodman's first season with Miami. Favre passed for two touchdowns and no interceptions and came away with a 34-24 victory.
He'll be in different colors for his visit Sunday.

"You can't relax against Brett," said Goodman, who had to face the Green Bay Packers legend twice a year when he played for Detroit. "He loves the big play, so you're always on your heels. Every time you line up you're thinking, 'OK, this is the play.' "

"New team, old team, it doesn't matter," said cornerback Nathan Jones, who faced Favre twice during four seasons in Dallas. "He's like a kid in a playground. He just goes out and makes plays, and he's a hell of a competitor.
