Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan may believe the Wildcat is a passing fad, but Dolphins offensive coordinator Dan Henning said Thursday the trendy formation initiated by Miami in Game 3 against the Patriots last year, "ain't going away."
"It's going to be with us," Henning said.
"Each team will use some part of it and every team will have to deal with the fact that if this guy gets the ball, whoever he is, and he can run it and throw it, which [running back Ronnie Brown showed last year], then you have to be on your toes because you gain an extra blocker."
Henning said it's all about, "risk and reward," and if they had fumbled while running the Wildcat against the Patriots instead of scoring four touchdowns out of it, the gadget probably would've died an early death.
