Former Jets coach Rex Ryan has plenty of options for 2015, including TV and, possible head coaching jobs with (for now) the Falcons or the 49ers. Contrary to at least one published report, he doesn’t have — nor does he want — an opportunity to become the defensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins.

Per a source with direct knowledge of Ryan’s employment options, Ryan has not been offered that position.

This seems more likely to be true than the other report.

If Rex has a head coaching offer anywhere in the league, that's what he'll explore. In my opinion, he needs to step back to a Defensive Coordinator spot but he won't.

I mean Philbin would have to be a complete idiot or suicidal to even try that. Talk bout personality clash and pressure to win.

If he gets another shot this year at a HC position he better grab it because he won't get another shot if he sits out next year

Yet many here take any report as gospel and bash the organization relentlessly. And some wonder why I don't take expert's opinions as fact. Hell, their ****ing facts are rarely even facts.

He could be a good HC in many places. We still don't know for sure if any more will be fired. Seems like he'd fit with the Raiders.

Duh…never thought it was true, BUT I am still holding out hope that Joe cans Coyle.

Didnt someone say it would even be done today? Day isnt over, but thought it would be done by now if it was going to be today.

If he becomes the defensive coordinator for that pats I'll puke.

I know his dad. and rex will not be a DC for anyone period. its ether HC or tv. he is leaning toward tv but depends on what team offers. him running that niners d is scary
