:rolleyes2:
I'm not one to jump down anyone's throat... much less over something as trivial and relative as musical taste...but that was lame. Especially coming from username, "Metal Panda". Where does David Allen Grier come off saying that about Darius? Some witty joke? HIV, REALLY? Tasteless...
No, actually, it's comedy. You should try laughing sometime.
Let me guess, he's "black" so he shouldn't make country? :sidelol:
And for the record, I didn't really care for Hootie and the Blowfish but to each his own... If James Hetfield wants to make a gospel album, he has the right to.
That would be pretty hilarious. And more interesting than their alright-but-not-really-as-good-an-album-as-everyone-is-saying Death Magnetic.
This is all just "hard" "rockers" making fun of "soft rock" or Pop.
Kinda like everyone hating Jack Johnson because he's so whatever he "is"...
it's ridiculous criticizing people taste in music. It's just like politics and all that other jazz. It's RELATIVE to INDIVIDUALS. There is no right and wrong.

I knew you would suggest I didn't like Hootie and the Blowfish because I'm a metalhead. Only problem is...that's completely wrong. I have over a thousand albums (so many that I have misplaced a lot of them) spanning many genres. I like Cryptopsy and Deicide...I also like Josh Groban and the original Broadway cast recording of Hairspray.
I like Morbid Angel and Testament...I also like Elton John and Miles Davis. I like Immolation and Dying Fetus...and I also like King Crimson, Nick Drake, Boyz II Men, Orbital, Ne-Yo...hell, I was even into the New Radicals.
Rest assured, the 'softness' of said music was not why I disliked Hootie. I just found them unimaginative and boring. If anybody disagrees, they're welcome to, but I'm welcome to my opinion as well.
