• The Dolphins focused on several players at Pro Days last week, sending coaches to evaluate Oklahoma offensive linemen Phil Loadholt and Duke Robinson, Utah cornerback Sean Smith and Georgia Tech defensive end Michael Johnson. . . . Miami likes several Maryland players, and even beyond last week's Pro Day, arranged private on-campus sessions soon with receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey, cornerback Kevin Barnes and tight end Dan Gronkowski.

Im real happy to see they are lookin Philip Loadholt and Duke Robinson, seem like my theory of Miami taking a G/T prospect is true. Duke Robinson will be drafted before we pick, but Philip Loadholt could be picked up in the later rounds. Talk about Mamoth lineman. No surprise in Miami loving Maryland players after all are very own Joey Haynos is a ML alum.

Coach is an O-lineman guy. I'm sure he is always looking at upgrading our front line. I think we add someone later in the draft. We had issues at G last season with injuries, so I'm sure we want to make sure we are deep just in case.

It all starts in the trenches.

Personally, I was happy seeing them go watch S. Smith. I really like that guy.

Some of these guys worry me to be honest. Michael Johnson seems like Aundray Bruce part 2 ... all the physical ability in the world, but the guy just wan't very productive in college. I stay way from those types, because of a high bust potential.

Smith is intriguing, but I kinda wonder if he really has the feel for playing the CB position. I'm undecided on him.

Robinson and Loadholt are OK, I just don't want to overdraft them. I still think Kraig Urbik is the ideal G for our system and he can play RT in a pinch too and would likely be available with our 3rd round choice ... and certainly with our 2b choice.

Heyward-Bey doesn't seem like the answer to me ... I suspect that is a smoke screen. He's going to go in round 1, and I can't see us taking a WR in round 1, and if we do it definitely will not be a raw one like Heyward-Bey.

Barnes and Gradkowski late maybe ... but I think we're pretty settled at TE, so only if he is a value pick.

If a guy didn't produce in college, I'm just not high on his chances to produce at the much higher level of the NFL. Sure, there are some who turn it around, but there are also a lot who just plain flop. Plenty of ultra-talented athletes fail to make it in the NFL ... so why take such a risk on someone who couldn't even make it at a high level in college? IMHO, Johnson definitely fits that bill. Heyward-Bey may blossom, but he doesn't strike me as a great receiver.

I honestly think some of what you see this next month or so is a smokescreen. At the end of the day, I expect us to go LB in round 1.

I think you and I are the only two of this opinion.:D

I would never discount us taking any big *** OL in this draft at any spot in the draft! that is the advantage I think we have over the Patsies. OL. We may have to keep up after this draft cus that is what I could see NE investing in.

I've been following Phil Loadholt since he played high school football here at Fountain-Ft. Carson High School. He was always the biggest guy around. He can sometimes get beat by quicker DE's, but he can plow guys once he gets his hands and body on you. I would probably go with Robinson at Guard.....I think Loadholt would be a nice RT....we would have great bookends with him on one side and Jake Long on the other. If either one is there at our 2B pick you gotta give them a look.

I dont see us drafting a lineman so high. Miami is very high on Thomas and has invested alot in Smiley and Grove. Berger was also added. If and when they add a lineman I could see it happening somewhere around the 4th round. We have much more important position. CB,WR,LB and DT are our most important positions.
